Funny how Sierra has 5 different ratings, 6 if you count MOR and MORM separately. I wanted my first post to be on this thread, because I loved reading it during the entire season. It was fascinating watching you guys analyze both the editing and the strategy, and I have to say your sense of storytelling and narrative arcs and cues was enlightening. An especially big shout-out to FLF, ScepticA, DeadNotSlipping and other Sucksters who were supporting me. (Trickmind, MikeHaggarKJ, Orangeena, AndrewSurvivor and JLK come to mind, but they're in other threads) Sorry for letting you guys down - or, I guess, for letting down Edgic. I know I didn't actually fail the system, but all season long, as I was waiting for that final bloodbath, I almost felt bad! I guess I will address the elephant in the thread, which was my final flameout. I knew I was dead going into the finals against JT. I think my position at the Final 4 was as close to perfect as I could hope - everybody wanted to take me to 2, I would beat two of them in the finals, and there was a much bigger threat out there who was a huge target. Did I completely blow the final tribal? Yes, but I don't think there was anything I could have done. What you didn't see is that in the second to last tribal, the jury actually applauded JT for taking me. Jeff said, "That's the first time in Survivor history a jury has actually applauded." (If that's not accurate, don't blame me… blame Probst). So I thought - and still believe - that to come out swinging against JT and taking credit for everything would have looked delusional, especially because they all considered me the awkward goofy one. (Which I am). Conversely, while my performance was horrible, JT's was amazing - he got in my head, and I really thought that I had lost the game and a friend. I did lose one vote - Tyson's, when I told him that I was responsible for voting him out. I thought he would respect the competitor, but I think that, combined with my otherwise crappy jury performance, just pissed him off. That being said, the final Tribal was by far the hardest thing I had to do in the entire game of Survivor - including the starvation, the initial 4 hour hike to camp in the heat carrying 3 watermelons, and all the challenges. Anyway, I'll try to be around to answer any questions. I know I'm catching you in an off-season, so I hope there are still some folks around!

When it got down to like 7, 6, 5, I was thinking, "Wow another winner I totally dig that may even top my favorite winners". Then of course JT won the final challenge and I'm like "Aww crap, I picked wrong again, (didn't think you'd beat JT but thought you'd get at least 2 votes, or 3)" You're easily in my top 10 favorites. (pardon my lack of eloquence, I'm just a little starstruck I guess)

And excellent choice on the avatar. Tocantins was an odd season in that it was relatively straightforward; the person who was expected to win did in fact win - whereas in other seasons, there's some degree of misdirection near the end, from...everything in Gabon to infallible Amanda (twice) to the deifying of Terry. Still, a game-well played (and well-edited). I don't really have a question, though I am curious as to a) if Brendan made any notions of re-forming the Exile Alliance post-merge and b) when Erinn became ingratiated into the Japalao 3 (since, if I'm remembering the events of the episodes around the merge, she appeared to start a deal with Joe then just sort of jumped ship quickly enough to avoid targetting after his medevacing). Apologies in advance if it seems incoherent or redundant. Hopefully you won't get run off easily. I'd avoid Sucks proper for a while.

I supported your edit - a big difference. But if you had won, it would have been another case of a "good guy" winning. As it turned out, another good guy did win, but that doesn't diminish your game play. Lemme tell you of a few things that made me think you were getting a winner's edit (or at least not a frigging shutout!). These all occurred after I picked you as the edgic winner, and just reinforced my pick. one was that "memorize the weird patterns after going through the obstacle course" challenge. Yeah, you won, and hearty congrats. But the explanation you gave on how you memorized it was utterly brilliant, and this was one of those "why did they include the explanation" moments for me. It made you seem very smart, and surely the others recognized this. Another was your dog-and-pony show of dealing with the HII, how its discovery could have melted your alliance (or one of your alliances!) and you molded different stories to different people and they were all happy about it in the end. That was IMO as clever as Cirie's 3-2-1 boot vote. They kept putting in things that made you seem in charge, pulling the strings. I suppose the problem was that the strings were so invisible that for you to claim you were pulling them would have seemed ludicrous at the end. There's that stuff in RNO about "what survivors should have learned" and one of them is to plot and scheme, but not too much. I think they need to add another: If youre plotting and scheming is too damn brilliant and hidden that no one will believe it - make it somewhat plausible that you were a force behind successful plotting and scheming. Why didn't they show us the jury applauding JT when he picked you? Because it would have given the game away to us. My god, you must have felt sick when that happened. Based on the edit I thought you were thinking something like, "Wow, JT picked me - I pulled a Tina." That is probably one of the great "left on the cutting room floor" scenes in survivor history. They frigging applauded JT! Hey - nothing against JT. He won, and he did indeed play a great game. But I wanna thank you for your gamesmanship - you were like Rob C - a very good player who didn't win. I must ask one question - was Coach as utterly delusional as he was edited?

You lose JT's vote and Taj's vote for taking them out at 4 and 3, Sierra and Brendan are sure votes for Erinn, and Debbie also probably votes for Erinn. You get Coach and Tyson and lose 5-2 or 4-3.

I thought this was Edgic, not LTS. The chart isn't even updated fully for Stephen's season yet. Weird.

They're summary things that have no edgic rules (such as they are!) about even how the ratings are given and are, as FLF has repeatedly noted, basically fun stuff to keep some of you occupied during summer.. They really aren't part of edgic because the point of edgic is to figure out who wins - regardless of whether we get ir right or not... and right now we sort of know who won. [Cue the end of Morgan Freeman's speech before the parole Board in Shawshank] So if it's a matter of 1) commenting about a chart that to me is of minimal interest, or 2) perhaps getting some insight from Stephen about what happened out there vs. what we saw (if it is him), um... i think some of us opt for 2. Swinefork, re your comment about the applause for JT booting Erinn: LOL. Brilliant.
