No problem! I needed my fix too, so an hour after the eppy aired in Canada I had already started looking for it!
Say what you will about the show, personally I'm enjoying it. Best episode yet. Hopefully we go back to 2 to 3 deaths an episode soon though. |

Didn't see this episode, did read some of the spoilers.
Still going with Shea: dark sheep of the family, sister getting all the attention, perhaps ignored by dad, hubby shtupping dad's new wife, crazy kid, etc. Although, I suspect we might be getting a killer who is not attached to the wedding (the deputy who appeared in last week's epi, for example). I still think back to season 1 of Murder One, and how the true killer really wasn't introduced until more than halfway through the season. Backstories and revelations will have to come, and that will clear things up more. |

I have finally caught up with all six (yes, six!) episodes of the show. Since US viewers haven't seen the sixth episode yet, I won't say much other
than I'm happy that shit has finaly hit the fan. I was wondering for five long slow episodes of buildup when anyone was going to notice people were
disappearing from the island. Probably not giving anything away by saying Trish's father's death was not a fakeout at the end of that last episode. All
it takes is one nice juicy public execution to get people scurrying all over the place. Thank god. Now we can get down to the business of seeing the killer
actively take out all of these cannon fodder one by one very publicly.
Getting back to the actual mystery of the show and who the killer is, in terms of logistics, I agree that there's no point memorizing who was where when since there are always ways to explain around the timing of things since we are in tv land and besides, we never keep track of all the characters at the same time. Chloe and Cal practically disappeared for most of the previous episode for one thing and who knows where Beth has been wandering around in between floating in the pool and appearing by Trish's side at convenient moments. The most obvious suspect would almost be a let down so JD acting suspicious has to be a red herring. Aside from harboring Chloe and Cal as Bonnie and Clyde like killers, I kind of like to think of Henry as a completely shocking murderer reveal. I'm guessing these have all been brought up before. I just can't go back and read 100 pages of speculation and discussion. One possibility that I would give the writers huge props for even trying would be if the creepy little girl turns out to be the murderer. Maybe Catherine is the murderer. She seduced the men in the family for some twisted reason and went on a killing spree to hide her motives. Who knows, it could be the ever present barmaid who's the killer. If overly serious, supposed heroine Abyy turns out to be the one because she's psycho because of what happened to her, I wouldn't be too surprised either. I wonder what her father is hiding? Maybe she was the one that killed Wakefiled and blacked it out of her memory and he covered it up by saying he was the one that killed him... And yes, it's true, good scenes with Chloe in episode 6 for those wondering. |

That was a pretty good synopsis, Cassidy, that didn't give anything away.
This being television and not Agatha Christie or Arthur Conan Doyle or even Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys or Encyclopedia Brown, we will probably see of the conventional murder mystery plot twists when a serial killer is on the loose:

Thanks to those who posted links. I watched this week's episode just now. Very interesting. Loved seeing some Cal, Chloe, and um...what's that other
girl's name....oh yeah, Beth ;)
One more thing - somebody had commented on how the actresses playing Abby and Trish have the same last name...Cassidy. The actress playing Trish is David Cassidy's daughter (cue the Partridge Family theme song) I think I can see the resemblance in the lips. |
