8 million viewers? They will definately let it run it's course. It would probably have to dip below 4 or 5 million for it to be pulled.

If there is only one killer, these characters all have alibis:

There's got to be one big secret to Harper's Island- one secret at the show's core. The lead-up narrative combined with the total lack of family
given Henry, the groom, makes me think that secret is...

I agree that Booth cannot do the killings alone because he probably does not have the knowledge of the people and the logistics of the island. I don't think that it is Henry who is planning the murders because he was busy with Trish when his uncle was murdered. Booth must be an accomplice to someone from the island because: 1. How would he know about Kelly Seaver, nevermind her being with JD? She is not in the wedding party. 2. How would he know about the bridge, the snare and the pit and where they are located? 3. How would he know to steal the spade from the Maritime Museum? Both the snare and the pit can be used by hunters to trap animals. I think that Shane (who hunts) and Booth are working together. Why did Shane refuse to put his hands in the water under the boat where Cousin Ben was? I think that Shane plans the murders and Booth carries them out. |

Week 2 MOST LIKELY KILLER
1. Booth "The Nerd" (+1) 2. Jimmy "The Old Flame" (-1) 3. Nikki "The Bar Tender" (+4) 4. Sheriff "The Sheriff" (+1) 5. Shea "The Maid of Honor" (-1) 6. Henry "The Groom" (+10) 7. Maggie "The Wedding Planner" (+1) 8. Cal "The English Guy" (+11) 9. Danny "The Black" (+1) 10. Mrs. Wellington "The Stepmother" (-1) 11. Sully "The Best Man" (+1) 12. Malcolm "The Fat Dude" (+1) 13. Abby "The Main Character" (+2) 14. Chloe "The Flirt" (+3) 15. Mr. Wellington "Father of the Bride" (+6) 16. Richard "The Brother-In-Law" (-5) 17. Trish "The Bride" (+1) 18. J.D. "The Black Sheep" (+2) 19. Beth "The Person" (-16) 20. Madison "The Creepy Kid" (+3) 21. Shane "The Angry Townie" (+1) 22. Hunter "The Other Man" (+2) Week 2 LEAST LIKELY KILLER The biggest winners of episode 2 are Henry and Cal because nothing says "killer" like being strung up by a trap or getting a deer-head thrown in your tub. The biggest loser this week is "Beth," "Beth," being invisible for this long can't be good for your health. Also, there's an episode one scene where Chloe mentions being chopped up, hanged (close up on Beth) and burned alive (close up on Lucy/Paris Hilton); so her death is pretty much telegraphed at this point. The nerd has officially pushed aside the old flame as most likely killer, proving my motto, "Don't hunt deer, just carry around a big backpack." |

tullfan2 wrote: No way is it Shane. Shane, JD and Mr. Wellington will be red herring people for the idiots watching. No way it's just Booth because who the hell is he, and the killer has to have dramatic weight to Abby. The killer is either the Groom (working with Booth -who will be killed later on), Trish working with someone; or Groom and Jimmy- Abby's two men working together (rewatch their meeting scene last episode and how little is actually said). Henry and Jimmy working together then gives Abby weight in the end where she's not depending on a man and has to face her own demons (yawn, i know and hello, Scream) -but I can see it happening. otherwise it's Henry. Abby figures out it's Jimmy, Henry and Abby defeat Jimmy, with then Abby shockingly finding out it was really Henry and poor sweet Jimmy has been killed only for her to fight crazy Henry and then Jimmy is still actualy alive and happily ever after. Cal also lives -with Chloe having an epic seemingly death too towards the end, only to be found she did something witty to survive it. |

That's very well thought out. Since we know this is a television drama (and not a slasher movie or a reality show), it's going to stick to standard
forms of dramatic narrative. If Abby is the main character, and we can rule out the fact that she may be the killer, then you can see how things around her
will play out based on the basic cliches of nighttime television plot development.
Because of that, it seems obvious to me that the killer is either Jimmy or Henry (or both, maybe). If somebody else is the killer, then there seems to be something slightly offkilter in planting a love triangle in the middle of the show, especially when one of the participants is getting married to somebody else. That conversation during episode one about 'men can never be just friends with women' (what total bullshit, by the way) is about the strongest signal they could give us that Henry is going to express some sort of romantic feeling for Abby, probably after Trish has proven to be unfaithful or is murdered. Of course, this might be a really, really badly written show, and so, will remain unpredictable because they writers won't know what they're doing.. |

The hand and arm were slender and feminine, so any of the females with the exception of wedding planner Maggie. |

Not really. I think it's supposed to be "suspicious", and is therefore too obvious, and I'm sure he'll be suspected by some people on the
show until he turns up dead, even though any killer with any sense would leave people like him and JD until the end, since they'd be obvious suspects.
Plus, he has nothing to do with the wedding, so there's no reason we'd be seeing him with all the rest of the people all the time.

Everyone will believe that Kelly committed suicide except for Abby and JD who both knew she had a new reason to live. Also, with the exception of Kelly,
the victims haven't yet been found. Is the killer collecting them and hanging them from a tree?
