I had the same thought about the cab driver, and was almost expecting him to show up on the island this episode.

Wow, great theories and speculation from you guys. I'm looking forward to seeing how much of it pans out.
I've really enjoyed the show so far, hope they don't yank it from tv. It's one of the betters shows on air, imo. |

anyone who think Shane is the killer has never seen a movie or read a book before.
1. Henry (interaction with Uncle Henry, went to JD's room, "did you see Uncle Marty this morning..." would know about Kelly- biggest shock payoff) -Booth working with him, later killed by Henry when not needed and used in a grander plot. 2. Henry and Jimmy together. 3. Trish -with another accomplice 4. The Sheriff -but he was introduced too late. 5. Chloe as a long lost member related to Abby or tragedy won't believe in any other theories. |

Where do hunters do that? I've never heard of such a thing. All the hunters I know gut it, then hang it from a tree. Just throwing it on the hood would pretty much make it useless.ususally you will hang and gut at camp (or your house). But lots who hunt on public land do not. They travel in and travel out for 1 day. so you tie your deer to the hood or throw it in the back of the pick-up to clean and gut at home or take to a processor.

I don't buy Henry being the killer at all. What purpose would it serve for him to kill his uncle? In the second episode we saw him ask JD if he had seen
Uncle Marty. Later he brought up Uncle Marty to Trish. Henry is the only person in the wedding party who would be concerned about Uncle Marty's well
being. No one else cares. There is no reason for Henry to cover up a murder that no one knows about. It would be pretty farfetched for them to include Henry
sending a fake text message to himself from Uncle Marty (which he only shows to his fiance) simply to mislead the viewers into thinking that he is not the
killer.
Then there is the hand of the mysterious person, holding a dog leash, who is observing Henry and Abby at the tree where Abby's mom was murdered. If the mystery person is not the killer then they will need to come up with a story arc which explains that scene. So far they haven't. |

I'm trying to HATE this show but I'm getting hooked. I lied, I said I'd never watch it and I LIED, LIED, LIED...so, that said... I love the nerd.

the killer has to have dramatic weight to Abby.I'm glad you added the Sheriff to your list above because he qualifies as having this pre-existing dramatic weight, like Jimmy and Henry. The thing with weight though is it can be created in any way. The second and third Screams revealed a long lost brother to the main character and the mother of the killer from Scream 1. I really disliked that but I can see it happening here - how the killer has some sort of attenuated relationship to Abby that we only leanr about in the third act. I hope it doesn't though. There is no reason for Henry to cover up a murder that no one knows about.Sure there is. When people eventually realize murders have been happening, the people he asked aren't going to suspect him because he made a big stink about Uncle Marty's whereabouts earlier on. It's a slim reason but it applies. hand of the mysterious person, holding a dog leash, who is observing Henry and Abby at the tree where Abby's mom was murdered. That could have been Hunter though slinking about. Or the co-murderer. |

The eye-patched cab driver seemed very familiar to me but I can't place him. Odd to have a familiar actor (if he is) have such a small cameo role.According to Harper's Globe, there were several people Wakefield injured but didn't kill. I wouldn't be surprised if the cabbie was once one of the policemen Wakefield injured with an exploding boat. ------------ Are we sure it's not Abby? I'm thinking of the film Schizo were the audience gets surprised at the end by finding out that the heroine was the killer all along. I know we saw someone watching her with a leash, but that doesn't mean it was the killer watching her (although that is implied.) I'm still going with Booth as my first choice. I just don't think Henry has a plausible reason for killing his uncle first. |

I rewatched Episode 1 and Booth's edit is EXTREMELY manipulated, especially in the first 10-15 minutes, no way is he not somehow deeply involved with the
story, he has to be endgame. However, I was dissapointed that in the Chloe+Wakefield's grave scene, Booth didn't say much..does anyone know what he did
say at the cemetery?
btw, JD said that Henry has a "twisted need to be liked by everyone" |

My first choice for the killer is still Booth for the reasons stated above.
- The shot of Booth dropping the bear bottle just before Ben in beheaded. - The first pic afterwards is on him. - His backpack could be big enough to carry murder weapons. - The previews show no sign of him being in peril, only carrying a flashlight in the dark. - No one would suspect him, but he is strong enough to still commit the murders. - Just the look behind his eyes in the scenes seems to be that way. My second choice for the killer is now Abby. In the film "Schizo", the protagonist is a woman who is being stalked and the people around her are being killed one by one. At the end of the film in a twist we find out that she was the killer all along. The only thing that makes me think it isn't Abby was the shot of that person holding a "leash" looking at her, which I think was supposed to be the killer. The Sheriff is an interesting guy. After the bodies start turning up, I think he may suspect he killed the wrong person. Maybe Wakefield was originally set up to take the fall by the real killer (after all, according to Harper's Globe, Wakefield was a model prisoner). I originally suspected the Sheriff might be the killer, instead of Wakefield, but now, if at all, he's covering up for his daughter, if she is the original killer or co-killer. Someone has turned Wakefield's tombstone into a shrine. Obviously, a relative or former lover is keeping his memory alive, or the Sheriff knows he killed the wrong person and he's leaving the candles and asking for forgiveness. What if the Sheriff covered up for Abby and sent her away to a nut house? Has returning to Harper's Island set off her impulse to kill again? (or maybe she's been serial killing this whole time in Los Angeles). I could even see Abby kill her mother for some reason (she's hung higher after all, and therefore, probably first), and then the others could be killings to cover up that initial one. It really would have taken TWO people to string up the harbor master like that. I just don't see how one person could have done it. It could also be that Wakefield was only one of the killers and his partner (Abby or Henry or Booth someone else) escaped. Henry is not on my list because I don't think Uncle Marty would be the first kill if it were. Because there were not any killings between Wakefield's death and Abby's return, it is Abby's return that sparks all of this. I am doubtful therefore that it is a townie who did this. I tell you, Harper's Globe is where the action is. Booth is still my first choice, and Abby will be around until the final episode, but it will be interesting to see. |

I live in Sportsman's Paradise & on the edge of a wild game reserve. Hunters are everywhere. I see deer strapped to hoods & roof racks all the
time during deer season. The guys take them into town to the butcher or over to their cousin Bubba's house. They make a day of partying &
gutting/sausage making.
I'll never understand it since it's a Bubba thang. |
