Yeah, I can't place Booth at all, either. Apparently a lot of that going around.

Was he the one who dropped the beer bottle in the water right before Cousin Ben's death? Or was that JD?

Yes, it was Booth that dropped the beer bottle.

Here are the 3 reasons that he is suspected:

1. He was the last person shown before Cousin Ben was killed and the first person shown after Ben's death. He might have been looking down into the water after the boat started.
2. He was the man (can't see his face but wearing the same clothes as Booth) who took his bag from the cart that was also carrying an oxygen tank that was similar to the one that Ben was wearing.
3. For some reason, Booth was wearing a backpack during the scavenger hunt. I didn't see anyone else wearing one.

If Booth actually is the killer then I think that he has an accomplice that plans the murders but is away from the murder scene at the time they are committed. The killer seems to have a good knowledge of the logistics and people of the island. It is not known if Booth has any connection to the island. How would Booth know to kill Kelly Seaver and make it look like a suicide (probably intentionally to frame JD) when she is not a wedding guest? I think that either Jimmy or Shane may be involved since they are hunters and would know how to set up a snare or a pit trap. It seemed strange to me that Jimmy did not give an explicit reason as to why he was not going to attend the party at the bonfire (where Lucy was killed.). Lucy's killer was probably a member of the wedding party because the name of the Inn was on the matchbox. Jimmy may have intentionally stayed away because he knew what was going down.
