I don't like this top 36 deal. Too much talent getting lost, too much pimpage prevailing. Not that the pimped are necessarily untalented, but the pimpage
taints their success.

Thanks CandyGirl! I think I got infomercials on the brain with Erotic TV one and the Shamwow one always infesting my life! Argh!

My 10 year old insisted on buying himself a box of Shamwow at the sports store a couple of weeks ago. He did some amazing commercial voice overs while he
tested them out. They suck. They do not leave anything dry after wiping. Forewarned. (I told him they were great, though, so I didn't hurt his
feelings.) ( He knew I was lying.

Man if I can even admit to all the weird toys and food items at the Taco Bell or any other weird stuff I made my mother buy me as a kid and they had to nearly
always suck.
OK heres one. Lawn Darts. I got Lawn Darts before they banned them forever. Maybe this explains my posts? Don't worry I didn't kill my wife with them because if I had I would sign all my posts like. My dear wife died by Lawn Darts. Give me a kudo! |

I remember lawn darts! Getting liquored up college age and playing down at the cape. Fun! And we never even considered them dangerous, go figure. My boys
would be impaling each other with them over a vid game argument though, so maybe their banning is for the best. (I once had to hide their Guitar Hero guitars
when they were being used as assault weapons.)

Send negative thoughts to my grandmother for, while I was in college, threw out my vintage (circa 1960's) 12" GI Joe action figure, my Cylon ship that
fired these little red pieces of plastic that became recalled, my first ever love letter (from my 4th grade crush, once we ... held hands!!!!!) and my lawn
darts! If I only could get them all back...

There are people on Ebay who are committing suicide over your throwing out that GI Joe, Michael.

That was my grandmother throwing it out. I might bid on one out of lingering spite!

Out of the next performing group, I hope Megan, Matt, Mishavonna, or Adam are among the three that make it.

So on Thursday will this be up against Survivor? Poor Survivor

Survivor held up decently against AI in the past. Despite this place, there's not as much cross pollination as I would have thought between the shows.
And particularly when there's still "so many" contestants and we're not in top 10 territory, we'll see. AI wins the night, of course,
but Survivor will be battered a helluva lot more by March Madness mucking up its schedule.
I think the women's vote this week is wide open. Completely wide open. Jasmine sings so nasally that I haven't liked her so far, and it's hard to really jump up and tell for the others. Big opportunity for all the women to step up. For the men, you have to think Adam and Kai are immediately recognizable and liked. Don't get all the love for piano Matt. Bald, everyman Matt could surprise. We'll see. I'm still disappointed Ricky Braddy couldn't get a clear merit vote, not that I expected it. Michael |

Thursday is just the result show. I never watch results live to much junk the result show s/b 1/2 hour show. Survivor will be watched and the last of idol on
the dvr. I don't like how they keep changing the days, I was ready to watch last night.

Unlike Danny, Kai's sob story and airtime was pretty much dropped after his audition. I think their was one scene during Hollywood Week where he said something like "im doing this for you mom". I think a bad performance for Matt or Adam and a great performance by Kai or Kris could result in Kai or Kris getting spot #3. |

No offense, but a good performance by Kris will probably do nothing unless he's given a spot late in the show. Ricky was great, but we knew Gokey was
going on and either redneck or Anoop were. Same goes for Kris. You have Adam and Matt as probably the two favorites. You then have Kai (sob story), bald
Matt (seen more of him than Kris), and Norman (may get the crazy vote). Kris is fodder. I'd love to see him rock it out, but he's fodder.

Im not so sure that America loves Adam the way some of the online fans love him. Kai barely has a fanbase, but if they reshow his sob story that could get him in. In all honesty I think Kris getting is will be tough, but not impossible if he gives a great performance. |

Whatever. I have nothing against Kris (I agree, he's cute). But if you naively wanna believe he has a chance, more power to you. In the history of this
show, especially with this format, I think it's easier for a female to get through who is underpimped because they tend to pick songs where they can belt,
which is what will probably get them through. Kris has zero going for him. Not much screentime, a format that doesn't fit underpimped contestants well,
being in a season where the male talent heavily outweighs the female talent, and being in a group where pretty much every other guy is more well-known. As for
facebook groups and whatnot, how many of those people will actually vote? At this point, I'm rooting for Kris to bomb.
