While singing the mandatory Paula Abdul song, David Archuleta mistakenly sings "Knocked Up" instead of
"Knocked Out", causing the shrieking tweengirls in the front rows to rush the stage. When order is restored,
Archuleta is too injured to continue. Not to be outdone, David Cook followed with "Rush, Rush" while
dressed-up to resemble radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh. When one of the Cougars rushed the stage to pull the gray wig off Cook's head, she discovered
that the celebrated rock singer was, indeed, Rush Limbaugh. The finale was declared over, and Syesha Mercado was declared the American Idol 2008.
