That leaves 3 spots that will come from the WildCard. Are the judges picking 4 people that didn't get in from each group for a Wild Card show of 12 people w/ 3 people getting in (1 guy, 1 girl and the next highest vote getter)? Are the judges picking 12 people collectively so there can be like 6 from one group and 1 from another? Are the judges just picking and America doesn't vote? Clue me in here please bitches. TIA. The other potential picks are selected by the judges/producers. We're not sure how the WC show will work since it's a one-hour show, which doesn't leave much time for performances (they have to announce all the WC, pick them, then introduce the top 12). It's on a Thursday (March 5), so if there were performances, the WC picks from Group 3 would be at a disadvantage since their results show would've taken place the night before. In any case, the three WC to advance to the finals will be decided on by the judges. People think this is where the "twist" will come in - four judges, four picks, top 13.

Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	The "twist" is that the people running the show have themselves not figured out how the wildcard will work. They will have 12 people, unless they want to hear 8, in which case 4 people will be told onstage that they are NOT going to be allowed to sing. Each judge will pick one person, which will give them 13, unless they decide to punish Paula for picking Leah Labelle and so give Kara a pick to herself, unless they don't. They will use the wildcard to even up the gender difference in the 3 rounds (9 people= unbalanced genders), unless it's 6 men and 3 women, in which case the wildcard will be 100% females, unless they decide that most of the women are terrible, in which case the group will have 7 men and 5 women, or 8 men and 4 women, or... I am sure they will wait until the round 3 results are in before they figure out exactly how to do this, which is why none of us know.

JP Lewis was the last person who made it in top 12, which was an 8-4 format. It should be a 6-6 gender format in that season instead of regular season with same gender.

I think what will happen is there will be 9 chosen from the initial 36 during the regular group votes then the judges will pick 12 out of the remaining 27, (possibly those who just missed it like Anoop and the 20K vote difference between him and Michael) and those 12 will perform again and then American will vote on them and the top 2 will go through and the judges will pick the final person themselves. That is kind of how it worked on Season 1. The audience voted on the top 9 and then the judges picked some to perform again and they picked RJ Helton as the wild card. He made it to the 5th position.

Here's how: 1) The public will NOT get to vote on any of it (like season 1). 2) After having 6 men and 3 women picked by the public, they will decide that most of the women semifinalists sucked, and bring back 3 women from the Hollywood rounds (all plants who'd fucked the right people in the meantime) to be in the Wildcard and help even out the ratio (like season 2). 3) They will bring back 12 people, but then sadistically tell 4 of them, on camera, that they won't get the chance to sing (like season 3).

Anoop's friend wrote on the official Facebook group that Anoop only officially finds out his wildcard show status next week. I guess they'll be told after the results show so they can fly back to CA to prepare.
