In Ep. 4, the tribe that has both Brendan and Taj loses the IC and Taj screws over her original tribemates by casting the deciding vote to boot one of them (probably Joe but maybe even Sydney or Spencer). Also, I can't see Jalapao getting so cocky if they only won the RC because the tribes are still at even strength. Tribe switch won't happen at Episode 4 on a season where two players go to exile. Marquesas and Guatemala are pre-exile island anomolies. Anything is possible, but an episode 5 switch (like Micronesia...when they have even numbers) is much more likely on a season where two people go to exile.

Suppose its Brendan and Taj again. They are sent off to exile and Jeff tells the other tribes to wait a minute before they walk off. They do the switch and teams are completely shuffled. Taj mutinies to Timbira thinking she's jumping ship, when she's really going back to a Timbira mix God that'd be great

Good point, but it would be interesting if they do switch, and then give exiles the right to mutiny. It would set up an interesting scenario as alliances break up. We'll have to wait and see. Usually, these types of pre-merge "friend" spoilers tend to hold true if both boots are from opposite tribes. In the case of Ace/Jacquie vs Kelly, they probably would have been friends if they were opposite tribes and met after being voted out.

Except that the editing is leading toward a switch happening. The viewers have seen little of the tribal dynamics on Jalapao other than the Stephen/JT bromance and that Taj is in danger of being voted out because her tribemates know that she doesn't need the money. We haven't been shown that Taj has any allies on Jalaopao, yet we are shown Taj and Brendan making a secret cross-tribal alliance ("which no one will see coming") that will definitely have an impact on the game even though the merger is a ways off. I don't see Taj choosing to mutiny because then it would not be a secret that she has turned traitor. Also the promos boasting that Jalapao is coming together while Timbira is falling apart are typical for when there is a switch forthcoming and the dominating tribe is hurt by it (eg. Kota vs. Fang).

She's shown in the IC competing with her original tribe. I think it's about 70/30 on the chances of a tribe swap...more likely there is one than not IMO. The producers like to mix up the competitors and break alliances.

Unless its shown at the very beginning of the episode (night 6, right?), then the only nights she would have this episode would be on exile. If her tribe lost the immunity, they would be at tribal council while it's dark, and if they won, they wouldn't show her nighttime dealings this episode.
