The defintion supercedes you opinions. At the end of the day Candice getting voted out was a blindside. You can't argue with facts.

Nobody is gonna say in a year, "OMG remember the Candace blindside?" No. Yet we still talk about Ozzy, Jason, and Erik. THAT is a blindside, when it's still talked about years down the road.

Most of what are considered the best blindsides were laid out from start to finish in their respective episodes (Rupert, Gregg, Edgardo, James, Erik).

As others have mentioned, almost every friggin' vote in Survivor history can be construed as a "blindside". And how does Probst know it was a blindside ? Was he told by a producer that Sierra was the original target ? Was he told by a producer that a "blindside" was coming up ? And please don't say that Probst can tell if it was a true blindside by watching the reactions of the bootee - pretty much every bootee is unhappy with being kicked off the tribe.

A-DUH-DUH gibson it appears you the the ONLY one who is mistaking what a blindside actually is. You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. LOL It is the surviror who is voted out when they had no idea they were going to be who gets blindsided. Even if everyone else, all the survivors, Jeff and the audience know who is going if that person is totally unaware of will be them it is a blindside. Everyone told Candace Sierra was going. She believed them. Candace was blindsided. FYI: Jeff doesn't know what the show editing will be at the time of the tribal council . So Jeff didn't know exactly what the audience will know when he said it was a blindside.

"Well that was definitely a blindside"......."One thing's for sure, this is a tribe that isn't afraid to blindside"....... no shit Jeff. I swear if I were to ever get on this show, despite surviving in the harsh conditions and the challenges and having to manipulate people and all that, I really think the hardest part about the whole thing would be to not break out in laughter everytime Probst does that shit.

So a Candice/Carolina blindside holds nothing to a COACH or TYSON blindside in the future.

Yeah technically these count, but they've wouldn't have been mentioned as such in the past. What it used to mean is someone in a serious alliance or agreement with huge trust placed in people gets fucked. These were pretty much average boots, because there's no way anyone has super serious trust yet.
