That kid was really good. Definitely better than a lot of the ones they put through to the top 13 on AI 8 this year. Did he win? He looked sort of like that kid Nathaniel Marshall minus the dorky head band & cuter, lol. Liked his version alot. Similar to Adam's minus the beautiful falsetto.

That Natalie chick is pretty good (and hot). Some of the faces she makes when singing though remind me of Carly's horrifying faces.
I have to agree with Slezak about making next season about the contestants rather than the judges. I think when looking back that was the major failure of this season. Sacrificing singing for the annoying judges banter. They either need to put a time limit on each of them next year or get rid of one of them (preferably Randy). |

Natalie is <3. She started off a underdog wildcard and won.
AI is so retarded. They're constantly ripping off shit from other shows (themes, ideas etc) but they never take any of the good aspects. They harp on how this is about talent and singing but really they make it all about them and big celebrities etc. Yes this is a show that needs to get ratings and make money but I think the audience would be open to change and the hardcore viewers are going to tune in no matter what. It's not like they're hurting for votes or viewers. People do see that this shit is broken though and needs to be fixed. Bringing in a 4th judge and the judges save wasn't a good fix. I would love to see more focus on the contestants and less bullshit from the judges. I enjoy other Idol shows so, so much more because the enviroment and feeling is so different from AI. |

fffing you need to watch Norwegian, German or Finnish Idol if you like the rockers. Those are 3 shows I can think of off the top of my head that love their
rockers.

Love the new Idolatry and I'm so sad it's (almost) over now.
Oh and did anyone else not even notice the absence of any Gokey-footage or mentions until they actually spelled out the damn absence near the end of part 3? I was like "SHIT, YEAH you're right!" |

I almost saw the Idolatry finale before finally watching the AI finale. I watched the finale yesterday, finally, after having the 2 parts sitting on my DVR
for almost a week.
Kristin is the best, and I have some love for Michael, too. I agree with their rantings about the piss-poor duet situation. I FF'd through Shrill & Chokey's performances & was not that thrilled with Megan/Fafu2's (although Megan looked hot that night, especially in the shorty-shorts). I was disgusted that Anoop got the shaft. All the "possibly gay" remarks were hilarious, as was Kristin's comment about "guy next door in the possibly gay ghetto" comment.

I"ve now watched all of the 2009 Idolatry videos and all I can say is WOW! That is some clever stuff. Later in the week I will watch the earlier seasons.

Watching that made me bummed we didn't get to see/hear more from Jesse. I hope that Kristen & Michael find their way to this board sometime.
