It was better than I was expecting. I really like Lindsay Price though. She's so cute!

I absolutely hate it. This show hates men. It feeds into every negative stereotype - that we're oppressive bosses, that we sexually harass women all the
time, that we call women 'woman', that if we don't provide fabulous money and non-stop excitement (if we dare to make CHILI!) then we're bad
husbands. And by feeding into anti-male paranoia the show is selling the idea that women need to FIGHT BACK! Great. They're oppressed. They need to stand
up. So how will they fight back? Is it by getting an education or working hard or finding better partners? No. They don't want to go out and actually make
great lives for themselves. That would be hard. Their solution is to whine and drink heavily and feel sorry for each other until some day penguin's fly out
of my ass and they receive it all on a silver platter. And why is that fair? Because they're women, and somehow that makes them better. No wait. Excuse me.
They're not just women. They're totally powerful and bad ass "witches." It's like listening to Parvati and Amanda talk for an hour. That
show made me want to stab myself in the face.

Thought it was a good first episode- introduced the characters well (I liked them all and Rebecca R never looked so beautiful!). I'll def tune in again.
Anyone know if the woman that went into a coma is the same woman from the movie- the one that barfed up all the cherry pits? |

Yes, it's the same woman.

I saw the first 30 minutes. I can take it or leave it.
BUT, I think Rebecca Romijn looks really pretty with a little pudge on her. |

Rebecca Romijn is my baby mama. Why has she not been snapped up by some other networks for their shows? I fucking love her.

It held my interest enough to keep watching.
I don't get Charmed + DH though. I get more of a SatC + DH. |

Thanks for clarifying grenadejumper- I didn't even see a resemblence between the two women until she started going nuts from her hospital bed carrying on
about the evil all around.
IA NellB- Rebecca looks more beautiful than ever at her current weight! I'm so glad she's got a real starring role (if she's going to do tv anyway), she's always been awesome and underappreciated as far as I'm concerned. That one movie w/ Keanu and LL? can't remember, but I remember her! And of course Mystique- it sucked MAJOR ass when she was destroyed in Xmen3. The new Darryl is def hot. I always wished that they'd used somebody sexy instead of grotesque Jack Nicholson in the movie. |

^ Yess! There are no words to describe how awesome Rebecca was as Mystique. She fucking owned that role!

chel87 wrote: I always thought that too. I also remember the producer or director of the movie saying in an interview that they kind regret hiring Jack Nicholson. Not because they thought he was grotesque but because he stole the movie. They wanted to make a movie about 3 women, empowring women and all that, just like the novel, but Jack came on and overshadowed everything else. |

I saw this move like years ago when I was younger, but I never knew it was based off of a book. I might have to go check that out at the bookstore.

I liked the show. I'll keep watching. I hate when you hear "this will be canceled" before a show even airs.
It has potential... |

The woman attacked by ants, Veronica Cartwright, was in the movie (could never forget the cherry vomit.) Is she playing the same role? It's been years
since I've seen the movie, but wasn't she murdered by her husband in it?

I think Paul Gross is just that.
I'll take Johann Urb or even Matt Dallas over him. |

The networks were all finally at full strength with fresh Wednesday episodes last night; the 18-49 scores:
4.3 Modern Family
* ABC's "Modern Family," likely the best-reviewed new show of fall, came out on top for the night alongside slotmate "Cougar Town." The pair took out a lot of tough competition at the 9 p.m. hour, including "Criminal Minds," "Glee," and "Law & Order: SVU," which plummeted a terrifying 34% from its 10 p.m. 2008 premiere. * In the sitcom realm, only Monday's "Big Bang Theory" (4.6) and "Two and a Half Men" (4.4) have pulled higher numbers than "Modern" and "Cougar" this autumn. * "SVU" has been the strongest of the "Law & Orders" for years now and was, if I remember correctly, NBC's top-rated scripted show at the end of last season. Could this fourth-place finish finally signal the end of the 20-year-old franchise on broadcast television? * "Mercy" debuted in the lower middle of the 8 p.m. pack, ahead of "Top Model" and "Old Christine" but behind "Gary Unmarried" and the two dance shows. * "Leno's" number, better than Monday but weaker than Tuesday, left him for the third night in a row the weakest of the big-four shows. * "The Beautiful Life" drew an abyssmal 1.1 million viewers, compared to the 2.5 million "Veronica Mars" averaged during its final year three seasons ago. |

You'd think that women would want to watch a show where the menfolk were decent and likable. When the devil is the shining light of honor....
