I was thinking some kind of an All-Star season too until that Probst interview where he said the back-to-back seasons in Samoa were strictly due to budget
cuts. I'm still not ruling out that season 20 could have something to do with returning players, but I'm leaning towards it just being another
Survivor: Pearl Islands/Survivor: Panama situation.

Do we know how many weeks before the season the conestants are told that it will be an All Stars?

I have no idea how soon the players are informed of it being an All-Star season, but I remember that the original ASS was announced to the public even before
Pearl Islands had started airing (I still remember the headline "After Pearl Islands, 'Survivor' rounds up All-Stars"). And if I recall
correctly, the first official confirmation that s16 would have anything to do with returning contestants was the infamous US Weekly article that referred to
"fan favorite" Jeff Wilson, and that was sometime during the early days of China airing I think.

It seems like I remember Cirie saying that she knew for like 2-3 months that she would be going on S16 for FvF. And that some of her other co-castaways kept
asking her and she was able to keep anyone from knowing she was leaving.

I was pissed that the 20th season will be shoot in Samoa, it could be an all-star or regular/all-star season.

If they will do 2 in Samoa, thats fine. They did that for seasons 7 & 8. Survivor 20 might be the final season, or it could be the 20/30th season. So if
it's the final one, it could be an all-stars.
