I guess I'm in the minority but I like the Stafford pick (not the outrageous rookie salaries though).
The Lions already suck, so even if Stafford turns out to be a bust it's not like they can sink any lower than 0-16. You take a chance on your guy and hope he pans out. Kiper is a douchebag, but I agree with one thing he said on PTI last week. Why don't the coaches get more of the blame when all these QB prospects turn out to be busts? Everyone blames the player and the GM, but if your coaching staff can't take a player with all that raw talent and make him at least into a very good quarterback then they're not doing their jobs. |

I agree with you Seacrest. Really, as much as I love Matt Hasselbeck, I readily acknowledge if he hadn't lucked out and gotten Holmgren for a coach, he
probably would have just faded away and never amounted to anything. Not many coaches can develop QB's.
