Cowboys take Jason Williams...meh. Linebacker isn't a position the Cowboys have to worry about much, Bobby Carpenter sucks but capable, and Anthony Spencer is being groomed into something great. Would have preferred safety, but Oakland took the only good one sooo. |

Seattle took away Leroy Hill's franchise tag now. Yikes. He'll probably go somewhere else. I hope the rookie is ready to jump in and play.
ETA: Apparently Hill turned down a 6 year 36 million dollar offer from seattle and had not signed his 8.3 million franchise tag and was not showing up for mini camps. Sounds like both Hill and the Hawks are now screwed.

So who's stupider? Seattle's front office for possibly losing Leroy Hill, or Leroy Hill for turning down either a one year 8.1 million dollar
franchise tag or the 6 year 36 million he was offered by Seattle in a state with no income tax?
I think it's a wash. I would HATE to lose Hill after losing Julian Peterson, but the guy must be high (and passed out in his car maybe?) to turn down that kind of money. Probably Oakland will offer him more. |
