I still don't get the ants. The kid couldn't have been dead for more than a few hours and there were already hordes of ants headed for the house?

I thought there were many issues with that storyline (not the least of which was Regina King's speedy recovery from being hit over the head - I think her 'do was still did after she came to). I would think that flies would find the body much faster than ants, but I don't have firsthand experience with insects and dead bodies. Maybe it's a Southern California thing. |

That Celebracadabra must have really worked because it made a job magically appear for C Thomas Howell

Good second eppie, if not as good as the first. Kinda cool how Ben let his "hero" status go to his head and right away regretted it.
Was the guy whose daughter caught him making out with another woman divorced? I hope so seeing how the daughter didn't totally flip out. Hmm. That teenager who helped out the cops is probably a goner. |

I really enjoyed the first episode. This one, not so much. Don't hate it yet, just don't totally love it. Typical drunk-ass cop spouting off
endlessly at his retirement party. In the real world, she is not getting her baby back the same day, no way, no how. Pretty cool of the cops to pony up their
own money to hide the girl and Grandma in the hotel. I'm just wondering why Grandma didn't send the granddaughter to hide out in Bel Air. I'm
pretty sure she has a rich sister living there.

the second episode did kind of drag along. It's going to have to step it up if its going to make it. JMO.
I hope that baby is going to be ok. The chick with the dog is uber weird. |

Good point, especially since it worked out so well for her son. |

This rocked the ratings, relatively speaking, again last night -- 9.58 million viewers. Huzzah

Wonder how it'll hold up when PRIVATE PRACTICE returns. And what are they going to do with this show when Leno gets this spot in the fall?

Yeah, I dunno -- put it at 9 p.m. somewhere (eek, but not on Thursdays, it might get killed), or maybe Sundays at 10? Is that Law and ORder now, though? I
barely watch NBC. lol

Since I think Private Practice sucks major ass, Southland it is!
I really like though. A lot. |

Good second eppy but I was confused by whose door the lady cop was at in the last scene. Was it an ex? With her kid? What?

I've talked to some LAPD officers who actually like this show. They said some of it is pretty accurate.
