Spencer: There was nothing that shocked me because I didn't really get talked about that much because I was a minor character. This week, it kind of sucked to hear them say I should go home, but it was not a big shocker. The whole Exile Alliance, I was unaware of it. And nobody else on my tribe was [aware of it], to my knowledge. It's really really annoying that they get so much freaking air time - challenges and that get half the episode. Get over it already! This is a third person in LL who didn't know about the exile alliance. Timbira has been shown being suspicious of it already, but Spencer says that no one on Jalapao suspected anything, so I'm assuming that another Jalapao member gets voted out next, and it's not Taj or Stephen. If one of Brendan/Taj/Sierra/Stephen or anyone from Timbira had been voted out, I'm sure they would have brought it up and Jerry, Sandy or Spencer would have had some idea of it existing.

I honestly hate the secret alliance. Just too know the millionaires club is basking in their own glory till something bad happens, I hope they get overconfident and lose.

Posts: 37 (03/13/09 2:05 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Jeff's comment in his blog about the next episode being great has me thinking something crazy happens - maybe Brendan getting voted out without playing the idol. Timbira is so weak in the challenges that I think Pao is going to turn it around. I'm sorry but Timbira has only won 3 out of 8 challenges. The only won the first RC/IC because Sydney and Spencer suck at puzzles. They had a huge lead going into the final part of that challenge and blow it. At the EP 4 IC, again Pao blew a bit of a lead because they suck at puzzles. At the EP 5 IC, Pao again blew a big lead. That challenge has been used many times before and a lot of the time the inferior team wins. If you remember Fiji, the only challenge the Have Nots one the ENTIRE game was the same IC Timbira won last night. I think Timbira is going to implode and we're going to have some sort of Coach-Debbie-Tyson vs. Sierra-Brendan situation with Erinn as the swing vote.

The IC they played in last night was the F8 RC in Fiji, won by Earl, Stacy, Dreamz and Alex.

I wouldn't be surprised if Stephen told JT about the idol and it just hasn't been shown yet for whatever reason.

I'm very suspicious of this trend. The big "cross-tribal alliance" has been pimped by the ads, the "previously" recaps, and Probst's blogs. The post-boot interviews are monitored by CBS reps. The bootees can't talk about "Todd" or "Coach's troubles". The odd "Diane's friends" type spoiler seeps through sometimes. Yet the bootees are allowed to be quite open about not knowing of the existence of this EA ? Something's fishy here. It's almost like the bootees are being "coached" to show complete ignorance of this new Survivor groundbreaking alliance.

His main suspicion seems to be that Brendan is too chummy with the other side, but he doesn't seem to know the full extent of their alliance. I wonder if this big episode Jeff is hyping is a 3-3 tie at Timbiria. They've been treading water with the Timbiria scenes for weeks, while not doing anything serious to build up an exit for Joe or Sydney on Jalapao. They could have continued to cast doubt on them in Spencer's exit episode, painting Sydney as untrustworthy for betraying Spencer, but instead the story was dropped. There's no longer anything interesting that can happen at Jalapao, unless Taj playing the idol is supposed to be some kind of surprise. I wonder if they both make the mere and leave early, with JT, Stephen, and Taj as the more prominent players post-merge. Meanwhile, Timbiria splits down the middle at the last pre-merge TC, Erinn/Brendan/Sierra and Debbie/Tyson/Coach. I would have thought the next episode could have been Taj voted out because Stephen doesn't let her have the idol, but if Spencer and Sandy are telling the truth, then that can't happen, because Taj probably would have told everyone about the secret alliance and how Stephen betrayed her.

I thought Erinn and Brendan were somewhat close. They might talk about who is supposed to be going. If Joe or Sydney do go next, has the show set that up? Maybe we're supposed to see Joe as being on his way out because of the conflict with Taj?

Brendan seems to be Timbira's answer to Sydney... where on Jalapao, Joe, JT and maybe Stephen all want Sydney, on Timbira, Erinn and Sierra both have crushes on Brendan. Candace wanted Brendan or Tyson, or even Coach if she was desperate according to that one insider =)

They wouldn't have shown Stephen considering throwing Taj under the bus and keeping the idol for himself unless he does do that at some point. And then if Jalapao loses the challenge, Joe would probably go before Sydney if JT is really controlling the vote. Spencer's post-show interviews don't reveal much, but him knowing about what went on behind the scenes during his elimination seems to imply that a Jalapao member joins him in loser lodge. He also said that no one on Jalapao was suspicious of the exile alliance, and no one in loser lodge knew, so it's likely to be Joe or Sydney next...

The worst that could happen would be a three-way tie, unless Debbie decided to form a new alliance with Sierra and Erinn, neither seem that likely.
