At least there's a good amount of teams who survived a yield. A U-Turn, especially on a leg like this, is a guaranteed loss. I don't really remember all that much about TAR recently, because I feel its going downhill (though this season is better than last), but what are the U-turn survival stats? Maybe 1 team survived it, if that?? Get rid of it. Now.

Posts: 7864 (03/08/09 09:27 PM) WRP Official Spokesperson Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Last season had only sole aired U-Turn. Eventually, it was never used and there was another U-Turn in previous Russia leg, it was unaired and revealed by Andrew & Dan on an interview.

Posts: 2414 (03/08/09 10:28 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Out of 5 (so far) U-Turns: 3 had been used (Burkina Faso, India TAR 12, this leg) 2 had been used correctly (Burkina Faso, this leg). Both of those were on teams who were eliminated but who probably would've been last anyway (Lorena/Jason were an hour and a half behind on a leg with no bunching; Amanda/Kris is less certain, but he did mess up on the RB). Had Kynt/Vyxsin U-Turned Nate/Jen in India, Nate/Jen probably would've been last also. Funnily enough, the one leg where I would've loved to see a U-Turn (Bolivia) is the one where it's not used. Having Mark/Bill U-Turn someone would've been a clusterfuck of awesome.

Dandrew confirmed that there was an unused (and consequently, unaired) U-Turn on the first Moscow leg last season.
