She had a separate house on the grounds where they lived. I chuckled and mumbled something about Grey Gardens, and I think I was the only one who understood the reference.

I would have expected them to split the vote and lose before Jessica won. She must have a lot of friends! I mean, I loved her work and I'm sure somewhere in this thread I probably said she did better of the two, but I really came around to thinking Drew deserved it more. I'm shocked! I'm kind of annoyed that Ken Howard won for his tiny role when Malcolm Getts didn't even get nominated, but it's another win so I'll take it! And yay for Best Movie!!! I guess that takes the sting away from Sucsy losing the directing award to Little Dorritt..whatever the fuck that is....WHAT IS IT? I felt bad for Jeanne Triplehorn, but I guess my real sadness goes to Drew. I'm glad Jessica gave her mad props from the stage though. I think she should have invited her up there to share it.

I was sad about Drew, too, though her new movie is getting her some strong reviews for directing. She'll be ok. And the White Shadow finally got honored for something! Woo hoo!
