I wonder if we should start taking bets on whether the merge tribe in Tocantins will be Timpao or Jalabira. Or maybe they will continue the "bag"
theme from Gabon and call it Coachbag.

Those names passed into Survivor lexicon, which wouldn't have happened if they'd been unpronounceable or stupid. Lesson - if your tribe name rhymes with Gong, something very bad will happen (that's why "Fong" sucked so much lol) . I like simple memorable names - Drake, Morgan, Kucha, Ogakor . Jaburu - for the jabber of girls, lol Malakal - sounds deliciously evil Dabu - brilliant con by Erik, but toally irrelevant to the game Some of the worst S14 - reusing Moto (after Moto Maji) and Ravu (too close to Rotu and Raro) S13 - Puka Puka - barf! what a joke! (Yul + Becky = Yucky were the main alliance) S9 - Alinta- invented by Scout, sounds like a drug S17 Fang - would be cool, except it's pronounced Fong. S18 - too hard to pronounce and spell, I call then Black and Red |

i tend to like the longer tribe names better. I liked the Cook Islands' tribe names and I love the names with three or more syllables. The short ones
aren't as good, IMO.

My favorites: Kucha Ogakor Jaburu Yasur Lopevi Koror Ulong Casaya Zhan Hu Malakal Airai Fang ETA pronounced like the English word, not Fong Kota Timbira I actually wish the producers would pick the name for the merge tribe. It's got to be better than the crap the contestants come up with. |
