I agree, but there are only so many monumental treasures in the world and this was bound to happen. I think TAR9 had one of the best race courses because they
actually went to important places.

Even though they've done most of the big ones, the world is a big place and there are awesome place out there.
Maybe this should be a depository for suggestions of incredible places they should go to. |

How much more cool can you get than Krasnoyarsk? I know what the "Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Pyramids, Great Wall of China,
a Colosseum, Pagoni factory, Taj Mahal, Christ statue in Rio, the Burj al-Arab sail hotel in Dubai, Petronas Towers, Venice, the Brandenburg Gate..."
many, from personal experience. But Krasnoyarsk? It's a totally new experience. But I must ask. What the fuck is the Pagani Factory doing on that list of
monumental sites?

they've only went to angkor wat last season, so i believe there are still postcard-ready places/monuments to visit in the world. if only they stop visiting
the same darn places & have tasks that are more than just pie-throwing or segway-racing.

There are still so many cool places and landmarks to visit, hopefully they get their act together and get to some of them.

This sounds like Kevin/Drew whining after All-Stars that they had to do challenging things in the Atacama Desert instead of sitting in a tea-shop in France
Locations don't ean anything - it's the cast and the tasks that matter. If they stop casting showkillers like Margie/Luke and stop doing tasks that a five-year old can complete, you're guaranteed a good season. |

I have to disagree with this...
Previous seasons showed more landmarks, more touristy places, but I think with this show having SO MUCH FANS WORLDWIDE... TPTB and the producers are trying their best to give us fans a hard time locating where the teams are and supposed to be. As far as I'm concerned, I'm quite happy with what I'm seeing in the race. We see different places in a real perspective, not on a travelers... We see how those people who live in the places they visit, their jobs, their customs, their traditions... Not the place everyone have seen in usual postcards. They indeed showed the real life, what's supposed to be in postcards and all... As there are countless places in the world - each changing as you go from time to time, what we see before is not anymore what we see at present. |

I love all the places though , atleast you will know places you've never been and never heard of!

I remember the plowing detour here in the Philippines. Which it later adapted into roadblock in Asian and Israeli versions.

Part of the appeal of the show is the exotic locales they go to. Seeing places that you want to go to but probably never will. If it's just about the
people, they could tour the US... and we all know how that turned out in Family TAR.

A Dying Clown wrote: Give me real drama queens like Flo that just ooze drama without being so fake. Give me real teams like Margie/Luke anyday over duds like Mike/Mel or Mark/Michael. Get rid of teams that are coming on to work on their fame. Casting teams like Mike/Mel and Romber that are going to just use TAR to push their fame ruins it. I want real drama, real family issues like Ron/Christina had. |

I'm also sick of the same male/male teams that are boring that end up lasting far into the race, like Mike/Mel athletic couples making it to the end with no storyEven Rob/Kim had more of a story than Margie/Luke ("I'm deaf and like cheerleaders" is not a story). |

I guess it depends on where you are from. I spoke with people who lived overseas and they thought the places and tasks we did were very cool. I think the
cast is just as important as the locations.

RobVanStratus wrote:Have to disagree strongly on Mike/Mel. Are they boring, or are they "pushing their fame." I can't see how you can be both. And just because someone's successful at their job (which happens to be in Hollywood) doesn't mean that they don't have real family issues. I think the father/son dynamic is a great one. And it's nice to see one that's not based on hating each other, or getting pissed at one another. Maybe to you a good relationship is boring, but I think it's great to see. My only complaint about them is that the editors aren't showing more of them. Give me more non-bickering relationships. You apparently love them, but they make my skin crawl. If I want that, I'll go to dinner at my folks. |
