For the three other fans...

The Players:

With the massive rule changes, it looks to be wide open. Questions: Can the pack catch up to McLaren and Ferrari? It looks like McLaren isn't going to contend right away, but what about resurgent Williams and suddenly Brawn ( ne Honda ) ? Will Branson sponsor Brawn? Can BMW, Toyota, Renault and Red Bull play with the big kids? Will anyone use KERS effectively? Will there really be more passing this season with the reduced wing? How hot will the pit babes and grid girls be this year???

Vicc is one, but so into it he's perhaps worth one-and-a-half. I'm a fledgling viewer who may grow to really like it, so count me as a half.

Just 1 to 1.5 fans to go! It'll make it.

The time of day of this first race is horrid for us Western Hemisphere folks, though.

So, two years in a row where the championship was decided by a single point in the final race, last year being the final turn of the final lap, wasn't dramatic enough for you? Youngest race winner in Vettel, youngest champion in Hamilton. Ferrari's pit issues. Three first-time winners. The Spa incident. Hamilton winning Silverstone in the wet by miles. Yeah, don't let the door hit ya on the way out!

I kinda wish the "most wins decides the championship" was implemented this season. Then watch people race and fight for first. But it won't happen until next year.

The diffuser situation is interesting this season. Williams, Brawn, and Toyota found a loophole that is giving them a considerable advantage. The other teams are complaining and appealing, but they should have just built their own diffuser like it and get on with it. Not that hard.

McLaren is sucking. YAY! Ferrari is fast but needs the diffuser. BOO! Williams is back to the top of the timing sheets. YAY! The second race will be more representative than the first.

No biggie - I sat out most of the turbo years and all of the Shumacher epoch.

The diffuser verdict is in appeal, but there's no way they'll rule against it after the race.

I like Button just fine, but I think I have a new favorite team if the great long-suffering Barichello finlly gets a credible chance to win.

Nice grid!! I recorded qualifying and I'll watch tonight. I had to sleep since I'm working today but I was paged for work just before Q1. I got out of going in so I watched a few minutes but decided not to know anything so I turned it off.

But the excitement of the new season, and of seeing this thread made me have a look. So... I've seen the grid and it looks great. The testing of Brawn was real speed and the McLaren worries are real.

It should be another competitive season. Even better than the last two. And I think Vettel will be the hot property this year.
Once I'm awake, after a days graft, I should be more alert.

There are a couple more fans out there. We know you who are. You're all tucked away in mansions and yachts waiting to post.
