42) Kai (MK4)



Who?� Probably the most UTR character.� Kai is part of the White Lotus Group (With Kung Lao and Liu Kang).� I did like Kai, he had an interesting fighting style.� I believe he was the first fighter to actually walk on his hands (even before Eddie (Tekken?).� He ended up taking a hit on Armageddon, as he was one of the weakest players in that game.� (Probably because Boon didn't really care for him so he didn't develop him that well)

His MK4 ending is so hilarious yet so incredibly stupid.� Kai just ends up wandering alone in his ending.

41) Stryker (MK3)


He was the original hated character.� The fact that he is about 20 ranks above, shows how Mortal Kombat has drastically declined in their quality of characters.� His look in Mortal Kombat Armageddon was pretty cool though.� I don't really like his style of play, as every special move is a gun or a grenade.� However, I somewhat don't reallly understand the hatred he had when MK3 was released.� Besides I kind of liked him in Defenders of the Realm (Shut up people, I did like that show).

Dairou (MK Deception)

R.I.P.� Order Realm.� I realized that the design of Orderrealm characters were really cool.� Dairou is no exception.� Dairou was the most interesting character of the order threesome.� He�became a mercenary.� He killed someone and Hotaru tried to arrest him and his family.� Dairou was pissed, so he went rogue.�

Dairou's moves in Deception was so incredibly ridiculous.� He is so incredibly broken. One of his special moves is called the tombstone drop.���He just leans back and falls to�the ground.� If you�do not jump when he does that, your character will get hit and go flying in the air.� Dairou could make ridiculous combos off of that move.� Not only that but�that particular move is�so ridculously spammable.� Just keep on doing that and you could easily win.� I absolutely despise that move because it can be so freaking cheap.� Thankfully, his moves got toned down in Armageddon.�

Dairou has the most WTF hara kiris in the game though.� Freaking hilarious.

39) Motaro
I will say this time and time again.� Mortal Kombat has declined.� Not only because they have several crappy new characters, but some older characters end up changing for the worst (in terms of design and gameplay).� Motaro is one of many MK3 and before characters who got worse over time.� Motaro is a centaur.� He is very fast.� As MKA got created where they invited every character back, the problem was that it was 3-d....so

OMG?!?!?!?� WTF?!� They cut his freaking legs off!� I do understand they did it because its hard to have a fighting four legged creature in a 3-d environment...but still.� What was worse was that they made up some lame crappy story to go along with it, saying there was some curse that coincidentally took away his legs.� � In terms of gameplay Motaro in MK3 was freaking fast.� MKA, he is one of the slowest characters ever.� Whenever you do any of his special moves, it takes so incredibly long for him to set it up.

Motaro's ranking got hurt, because Mortal Kombat changed him for the worse.� Unfortunately he is definitely not the only one.

38) Goro(MK1)


And the first original MK Character gets the axe.�
Motaro got screwed in the designing concept, Goro got changed for the worse in the storyline aspect.
To be completely honest, I really didn't care that much for Goro.� I sort of liked him, as he was the original badass bosses.� There was a decent story between him being rivals with Kung Lao.� What happens is his story gets so incredibly dicey.�
So then apparently he got killed in between MK2-MK3.� And then he comes back in MK Gold (Extended version of MK4).� He makes a peace treaty with Kung Lao, which is really random especially when you watch Kung Lao's ending, and somehow becomes a good character and breaks ties with Shao Kahn.� He then somehow "dies" in Mortal Kombat 5 by Noob (so random) (Kitana holds a funeral for him)...only to come back in MK Deception and is evil again and working for Shao Kahn, because Kahn revived him.

To Mortal Kombat writers:� WTF?� Seriously, you guys make these storylines so much more confusing than it is.

37) Frost (Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance)

I remember when Frost got released, MK Fans were so pissed off. I don't think people took well to the female version of Sub-Zero. Ironically, she was probably a better player and actually had better and cooler moves than Sub-Zero in Deadly Alliance. Her freezing ability was pretty awesome, but incredibly hard to dodge. Same thing happened with Mortal Kombat Armageddon, a lot of cool special moves. She does have a cool look. Her storyline was so meh, just being a Sub-Zero sidekick. It did get somewhat interesting as she tried to backstab Sub-Zero in her ending and take the Dragon Medallion. Ironically the Dragon Medallion ended up killing her. Morale of the story, anyone who tries to sneak up on Sub-Zero gets owned (Ironically not by Sub-Zero).

36) Nightwolf


I remember Nightwolf being one of my favorite characters in MK3. The real reason why was that he was the first character to have a reflection move. This move can help reflect back projectiles at your opponents. It can be incredibly helpful for people who constantly spam sub-zero freeze move. Other than that, he is kind of average. He is kind of a stereotypical native american. His look in Mortal Kombat Deception was actually decent and his storyline stayed the same.

In the cartoon, he was a computer nerd, which was so random. In annihilation he shows up for one minute in the form of a wolf, teaching Liu Kang his animality. LOL.
35) Li Mei


One of the current trends to Mortal Kombat is that the girls get more sluttier (with few exceptions) as each game progresses. Li Mei was definitely not an exception (I'm trying to find the really slutty picture of her, oh well). Li Mei had a relatively interesting storyline. She was an underdog trying to free her village from Quan Chi and Shang Tsung, by hoping to win the Deadly Alliance Tournament. She ended up getting tricked and was going to be captured by Onaga and get her soul consumed, but Bo Rai Cho ended up saving her. It got interesting because half of her soul got corrupted, so there was some intrigue on whether she was going to flip sides or not. Too bad Armageddon f'ed up every storyline possible. Gaming wise she was kind of generic. She was kind of slow.

Random note. Li Mei was the first character to be killed in the Mortal Kombat Opening Sequence by Hotaru, which was actually somewhat hilarious.

34)Reptile (MK2)



Another ninja goes goodbye. I think what made me rank Reptile lower, was again how he got changed for the worse. I really liked Reptile initally, he was unique in that he was the first character to go invisible. However in terms of appearance, I really did not like how he went from ninja to evolving dinosaur. I found it incredibly lame and boring storyline. What really got me annoyed was the Reptile--> Onaga. So incredibly stupid. Reptile also ended up coming across really whiny and such a follower in MK4.


Lets just say this. Reptile of MK2 >>>>>>>>Reptile of MKDA and Reptile of SM and Reptile of MK4 and Reptile of MKA combined.
