LOL Nomiiiii - despite my having lurked during S5 and S6 and posting a little in S7 I still felt like too much of a newbie to start a thread. I figured setting up camp in the Eric love thread would suffice - but since you and QSF have asked...

An obscenely big one - he watches more reality tv than anyone else i know - all the big ones - AI, TAR, Surv, BB, Apprentice, HK, Top Chef, Runway, ANTM, SYTYCD, RW, RR/RW, surreal life, flavor of love, Bachelor, search for the next food network star, plus he has watched almost every other one that's come and gone, Paradise Hotel, Forever Eden, Joe Schmoe 1 and 2, Rock Star 1 and 2, that abc idol/rock star wannabe last season that got cancelled, and so on and so forth - it's frightening how much he's watched. But AI and BB have always been his favorite.

My friends and family routinely put together betting pools on reality shows that air live - though we opted against doing BB8.

He's not always like that it's just when stressing, it has been known to happen - and clearly, running around on slop trying to figure out what it means to be AP, he'd been stressing. But I do think he's been better with this and the cursing recently (he's replaced it with long-talks where he forgets to listen).

Ironically one time he went with some friends and auditioned for AI (S2 i believe) he got to the final producer's cut (final 200 out of the 15,000 that had auditioned) before see the big 3 and was told that despite a great voice he had "crazy eyes" that were disctracting on camera so he didn't get to move on. He's going to love that I mentioned that.

He is very much aware because of me - and has read some things I've shown him. However, the last two summers he didn't get the feeds so he couldn't view anything without pre-screening because of spoiler concerns. But he is all too aware of what's out there and as he put it before leaving - win or lose, good or bad, at least he'll be memorable. And he gave me his blessing to come out of my shell and post full-time here this summer as long as the producers would be cool with it - and once the show started last Thursday I was given the go-ahead.

I will strongly suggest that he should. For recaps, ongoing commentary, my thoughts on his entire game (good and bad), etc. Once he's ready this will be where I send him.

Will. I know it's not an original answer - but after giving up on S1, I only started watching again towards the end of S3 - and ever since S2 until All-Stars all I heard is how he was the best contestant ever on a reality show. How he was up so many times, never won comps, and STILL won.

I know he also greatly admires the way Jason played in S3 - he said it wasn't exciting nor was it his style - but it was impressive nonetheless.

Eric applied for S2 - he made the most over-the-top insane audition video - I nearly died laughing watching it (it may not amuse anyone else but my favorite part was as follows - the screen text says "eric's thoughts on competition" and then we cut to him running to the top of his apartment's roof, standing on a fire escape and bellowing with his arms stretched out to the heavens "MORTAL KOMBAAAAAT" like in the horrible old video game commercial - gets me every time). He submitted it, and then left for Aruba with his then gf - at the time he didn't have a cell phone and he had an answering machine that you couldn't call into. He got back to find a message from the producers inviting him for an interview but when he called back he had managed to miss the entire window and that was that.

Ever since then we've heard all about how he could have been on S2 and he would have played against Will, blah, blah, blah. Oddly enough we could never get him to re-apply until this year. And this year's audition video is another doozy - I really hope they air some of it sometime down the line.
