Last season on MMAS, the photographers kept choosing Salami as the best one, not knowing she has only one look. It's the same with this show. Daniella keeps avoiding the bottom 2 with the same design over and over again.

The audience voting thing seemed like a good idea at first, but I guess it's turned out as bad as Make Me A Supermodel.

well I don't think there's anyway Daniella can win the audience vote. Reco wins the text poll each week.

Merlin was straight up robbed, James Paul is skating by in this competition week after week with the worst designs in the bunch. This last one was the worse
ever, I don't know why they would keep him and let Merlin go. It was such a shame, even if he didn't win the whole thing, he at least deserved to
survive over that monstrosity of an outfit JP made.
Merlin's j.acket was flawless, yes it may have had 'too much going on with it' but who gives a shit? Aside from the colors, which I hated, I would buy and wear that. Not even a buck naked homeless person would want to wear JP's design. RECO FTW! I love Johnny too, but I doubt he will survive next week. |

I fear Anna is getting the winner's edit, even though her style gets more and more derivative by the week.

Based on the show premise about "clothes for the everyday woman " Anna should win but they will probably go with one young and hip guys like Reco ,
JP or Daniella as the winner .

In Daniella's case, the everyday woman is a Hunts Point hooker.

Am I the only one who sees the strong resemblance of Danielle to Carly Smithson?

If I have to listen to Kelly saying HiIiIiIi DeSiGnEEEEEERS one more time, I'm going to have to kill something cute and furry.

EJ, I am only up to episode 7 of AusNTM, so don't spill any details...but is that god.dess Claire in your avi?
eta: Carboy--everytime I watch this show I think of Carly when I see Daniella, but no one ever mentioned it before so I thought maybe I was just imagining it. |

Yes it is! XD Continue watching. Miles better than ANTM.
Anyway, FEMALE POWER 4 THE WIN. I'm assuming Jonny goes next week and Anna and Danielle have a shot at the win! Go them. |

Anna's designs remind me a lot of Leanne from PR. The Tarot Card skirt was just like inside out petals. Cute, but I got petal overload during last seasons
PR.

Carboys Desire wrote: Sorry, I've been out of the thread for a few days and am catching up, but that's not really what the challenge was. The challenge was to design an outfit for a girl in her 20's who was part of the B-Girl clique in high school. I think the idea was to take inspiration from certain elements of the style, but to make it more chic in a fashion sense for a woman who is mature enough to be an individual. To a degree, I think that's what Angel tried to do. The parka vest was certainly hip-hop inspired, and showed that she is not, in fact, completely unaware of the existence of hip-hop culture (despite what the editing may want to make us believe). Where she went far away from hip hop was with the skinny pants -- B-Girl style is all about loose fit on the bottom. Arguably, that was an attempt to make the style more chic, although I think it failed in execution. I don't think Angel's elimination had anything to do with the outfit she created, though. They tore into her for an issue with VOCABULARY. She heard "B-Girl" (a rather obscure bit of terminology) and didn't immediately know it was connected to hip-hop. That's what was so petty about the whole thing. |

Wait a minute, aren't Apple Bottom j.e.a.n.s. big with B Girls? Those aren't loose.
Starting to think that what Kelly was really going for was Black Girls.

Millions of people walk around wearing hoodies every day. When they get home, are the hoods filled with leaves and debris? No. Neither would be Anna's vajayjay cups. (I'm not saying that I loved them or anything, but the leaves reasoning is just silly). |

Merlin's design would have been just fine if not for that crap he did at the knees. What was he thinking?
I liked J-P's bustle, but the shoulders really were atrocious. Unlike many of you, I thought Reco's was much better with the ja.cket OFF. I thought the jack.et was way too busy and cartoonish. It reminded me of a drag-queen interpretation of Cruella DeVil... I hated Daniella's, overall, but I loved the fabric of the skirt. Too bad it didn't go with anything else in the outfit. Johnny's was fine. I'm never fond of one-shoulder tops, but that's just my own taste. I liked his color palette. |
