If Melissa impresses me in other styles, then this switch won't happen. But Karla actually did well in her cha-cha, despite having a bad partner, and she's quite good in contemporary, and she seems to be the only girl with mildly extensive hip-hop experience, which gives her a huge advantage, since this season seems hip-hop lite. I'll have to wait and see Melissa do more, because I wasn't blown away by her jazz this week; I don't think she "immersed" herself as much as the judges will have us believe. Same with Ade; based on last week's group routine, I'm sure he'll be fine in hip-hop, but I'll wait to see a fast latin number. Although he would still be in my top 10 even if he wasn't that great, because we know Phillip will make it, Evan and Brandon will, as well. Jonathan and Kupono need to leave, and that leaves Jason, Vitolio, and Ade for the last two spots, so he has a good chance. I wish that if Max was going to leave early, he would have left next week, since then it would be: Stanislav; week 1. Faina; week 2, and then Max; week 3. You could joke that in three seasons, someone from their group would finally make top 10. I feel bad that people say Max didn't have a personality. Just because he's quiet, foreign, and didn't whore out his dead brother (I forgot about that because he only mentioned it once; it's quite sad, actually) every week didn't mean he didn't deserve to be there. Also, on a completely random note, does anyone find Kupono's quirkyness to be a bit... forced? Like every week it's "Hey guys, I made a funny to do list, now I have OCD; LOOK AT ME BEING QUIRKY!" I don't remember Mark trying this hard; he was just naturally quirky, from his cruved pinky's to his weird movement quality.

She had good personality but lousy technique on the cha cha. Her contemporary this week was mediocre, and I think her solo last week was perhaps the single worst I've seen in 5 seasons of this show (yes, including fatty Allen in season 1).

I thought long and hard about Lauren's, but even though she really didn't do anything in her solo, at least she didn't do anything BADLY. When Karla went to do something simple like raising her leg, she got it maybe waist high with knee bent and shaking. If that was how Karla danced in her audition, she shouldn't have made it to Vegas! Any other woman and most of the men on the show can, at the drop of a hat, lift their legs up to shoulder height, steadily and with knee straight and toes pointed... Lacey.%$%#$!% had boring solos because she is ballroom, but she always wiggled her hips gamely and was a'ight...
