Last night was probably this season's best night, but for me it was still MEH! I began watching S2 and haven't missed an episode since. I adore this show...but I just can't get behind any of the dancers this season. They don't have the charm or the WOW factor that prior contestants had. No hot Russians, either ;)
And I sometimes wonder if I'm watching the same show as everyone else, because I don't get the complaints about some people's mugging, since they all do it, and I always find it annoying as hell. I'm pretty sure it's something they're told to do, though, so it'll never go away. |

Nigel twittered about a MJ tribute night for next week, all MJ music with different dance styles. Getting Mia and Paula (and others) to choreograph.

Interesting. I thought maybe just a group dance this week in tribute. That idea could be good though, he has tons of songs, I'm sure they can find one to
fit each style.

I feel pretty much the same way. I'm still watching obviously, but overall I'm pretty meh on this season. It's like there's no one that's a complete embarrassment or anything, but there's also not really anyone that's really grabbing my attention either. Right now, I'd say Brandon is probably my favorite dancer, but even then it's just "He's a really good dancer" not "OMG I'll hate hate hate it if he gets eliminated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", iykwim.I agree with every word. I would just add that despite better choreography early on and better dancers overall than season 4 (I can't even remember half of them), I'm not as into the season maybe because this happens after so many seasons of watching. On the other hand, I start every season off feeling meh and then a year later I actually end up liking it more in retrospect. The only expection would be season 4 which I liked but hasn't grown in esteem for me. |

He said they were having problems with the music clearing but it also sounded like it was pretty set in stone. It was going to be like a regular show except
with the choreographers all using MJ music.
