Here are the top 10 Spoilers throughout Survivor History as I see them. (If you disagree, you may have your money back. Oh, that's right...)
10. Debb's Friends.
This was the first unintentional list of a booted pre-jury castaway revealing who had gone on loser tour with them and with whom they bonded. Later such lists included "Diane's friends" from S3 (80% predictive) and "Ghandia's stars" from S5.
9. Paratrooper's photograph of Lex winning Immunity.
This would foreshadow other such immunity photographs such as Tammy's immunity wins in S4 and that Brian-S5 and Aras-S12 had won critical final four immunities.
8. Entertainment Tonight filming the S2 Ep.3 Reward Challenge
This pic revealed that Kel and Debb had been the first two boots from Australia. We would later see other such early challenge footage spoiling that people like Peter-S4 and Ryan-S6 had been booted.
7. S2 - The El Rancho jury lodge pic.
This devestating pic revealed the S2 jury, crushing the hopes of Elisabeth fans around the world who clinged to the hope that Keith/Tina would voluntarily sabotage their game by entering an alliance with Rodger and Elisabeth. That Colby boot never did come, did it. Also noteworthy was Mike's "burned hands" photo. We at least knew he was seriously injured. Another devestating outside the game spoiler was the S10 St. Patrick's Spoiling Day Massacre photo featuring a pic of the Koror inside alliance partying with a very happy Tom at the St. Patrick's Day parade, revealing that the Inside 5 still thought of themselves as a fivesome long after the season ended and that Tom was very happy. CBS, however, was NOT happy with this gathering nor this pic.
6. S6 - Survivor: Amazon Betting Spoiler
This revealed that insiders knew who the final 2 were. Other betting spoilers for Survivor and The Amazing Race would follow.
5. JEFF VARNER commenting on the internet about Survivor: All Stars
Varner has a big mouth. And I'm not referring to his secret night time activities. He comes right out and states "Amber will win Survivor: All Stars". He later stated it was a guess or prediction, but anyone who knew any inside baseball about this season knew that the final 2 of this crapfest would be Romber and that Rob had screwed up any chance of winning a jury vote with his backstabbing of friends with previous relationships and generally obnoxious behavior. Back in S2, Varner also stated on Enterainment Tonight that Alicia would be getting booted and visiting Rich Hatch. It's a good thing his big mouth found gainful employment on television.
4. Chill One and Wixchix spoil Survivor: Panama between them.
Basically the whole season was debating which set of spoilers was right. Arguably we became flabby and totally dependent on outside "sourced" spoilers, but we bounced back when we didn't have them. These two deserve a joint mention for this season. Griffe had amazing spoilers this season too.
3. The famous Final 9 Pic from Survivor: Borneo
This pic first pointed out by Gator will always have a special place in my heart because it kicked off Survivor Spoiling. Who can forget MB giving this freebee in the opening credits revealing who made the Final 9? There was debate as whether that was Gretchen or Gervase as it was his face, but her hat, and there was hope that Gretchen could be off voting, but there you have it. MB got so caught up in spoiling mania that he put a FAKE final 4 photo in the opening credits giving hope to Colleen fans everywhere. No such luck. The Tagi 4 dominated the game. But what a shocking and thrilling television moment when we watched the final 7 TC and realized we had been had by MB. Another opening credits spoiler was Rudy's beard, revealing he had made it far into the game. Thanks to Tullfan2 for reminding me that Jenna's opening shot gave away that she and Kelly both made the merge. Also worthy of mention was Greg's boot being uploaded onto the CBS website early -- one of many CBS website snafus to come.
2. CHILL ONE deserves a second mention for sure for spoiling Survivor: Amazon and much of Survivor: All-Stars. He had a couple of details wrong, but who cares. He provided so much information, he kept the spoiling season buzzing. His spoiling would become somewhat controversial in that the people whoh liked the "puzzle" aspect of spoiling wondered if sourced bits of spoiling gave "too many" bits of information, so there was no longer the same fun when it all became about boot lists. Chill's spoiling has been massive.
1. MERSAYDEEZ completely spoils Survivor: Palau
Who can forget the incomparable Mersaydeez who basically gave us an in-depth overview of the season, AND, came to Sucks to respectfully answer our questions. Nothing and no one has offered that much spoiling before or since. It was a once in a series history experience and I still have gratitude. It's hard to believe that was 4 years ago. Thank you, Mersaydeez. I will always be grateful. Thank you, Antitheses for reminding me that Bianca was a big part of this season too. Thank you, Bianca!
