I know it was an incredibly boring leg but are they really just trying to target people with no long-term-memory now. I will flashback to the flashbacks: TAMMY: We can occasionally have difficulties... [unnecessary flashback #1 to Romania. But at least that was from a little while, so it's not too bad] TWEEDLE: We got some penalties... [unnecessary flashback #2. WE JUST SAW THIS IN THE RECAP FOR FUCK'S SAKE. But at least it's actually relevant to the story of them getting new penalties] MARGIE: I don't want to faint again [unnecessary flashback #3. WE SAW THIS IN THE RECAP AND IT HAS NO RELEVANCE TO THIS EPISODE!] Later on... MARK: I hope it was a good idea to leave our backpacks. [unnecessary flashback #343. WHY IS THIS EVEN A FLASHBACK??? THE BAGS ARE STILL THERE!!] Between the time-stamp typo and showing a giddily happy Margie confessional early on, making it obvious they'd get first, this was easily the most poorly edited episode ever.

This is the Emmy-winning episode, hyped up by the editors.

A show that's been on for fourteen seasons should be able to surprise more than the few rubes who stumble upon it by accident. This wasn't like Romania, where the "suspenseful" editing was at least only obvious to regular viewers who could tell Brad/Victoria would be doomed. I can't believe casual viewers gave a shit about which team came in last since they've both been underedited - and anyone who paid attention would know this has to be an NEL.

Everything up until the teams went to the lighthouse was well-edited from what I remember, like most earlier seasons. And since I assume Steve/Josh's invisibility was a weird attempt at creating suspense, Amsterdam had worse editing since it completely squandered a lot of the potential suspense (Steve/Dave were supposedly only a minute or two behind Tian/Jaree, yet the show made it look like they were completely doomed). Worst edited TAR episode abroad is obviously still the hilarious one where they completely defy the laws of space and time to show Melody/Sharon running up to the pitstop, then Howard/Sahran checking in.
