Remove this ad This season and I guess over the last several- since the show started obsessing over hidden immunity idols I feel like the producers feel like the only way to make the show interesting now is with hidden immunity idols which of course is totally untrue. There are WAY too many people with immunity at one time and the idols are retardedly easy to find. Given how many immunity idols there are in a season, how easy they are to find and how easy it seems to be now, to make fake ones, I wouldn't be surprised if at the very start of one season, every tribe member on the show was just given an immunity idol. Some are fake, some are real, but noone knows until they try to play them at tribal council and then...blindsided by a fake (or real) idol! That's basically how the show goes now anyways...

Fixed in Fiji, but they should have retired it after that, or China at the absolute latest. By the end of China we had someone use it, someone use a fake one, and someone get voted out with one, pretty much every possible combination. Gave us a few nice moments in Micronesia, but when they're finding the damn thing every single time they go there, you know its overdone. I'd be happy to see it removed from the show entirely.

Wasn't overpowered, and even better, EVERYONE had a chance at it and only gained advantages through winning challenges. Unlike, say, 18 out of 20 players in a season having no chance to look for the idol while the person who got it due solely to being randomly picked to go to Exile by Billy wins the game because of it.

The person has to complete a certain task before the next tribal council, from simple things like getting a tribe-member to eat a worm, to having to catch one fish, to losing the tribes flint for 3 days, to even having to target a specific person at the next tribal council (with successful results). I guess its kind of like America's player except not stupid. If they don't complete their assignment, they have to vote for themselves. And they can't tell anyone about the twist.

From Survivor 1-10 you could explain Survivor as a show where Tribes of people faced of and after immunity challenges the losing tribe would vote someone out. Around 10 players left the game would become individual. Now it is the same but you have to add "And throughout the game hidden immunitiy idols will be hidden around the island or camp for those lucky enough to retrieve them to use" Just don't like it. They need a twist to it all. Like an evil twist. After almost ten seasons they should switch it up. Make it so at exile only one person goes and like Gabon/Tocantins they have a choice of what they are going to do, except this time its Easy or Hard. They are not looking for idols but for clays scroll holders that says "Must be opened at TC after the vote". The "Hard" scroll (which was more difficult and time consuming to find) only allows you to erase 3 votes for you. The "Easy" scroll (which is basically "Go to your water source at camp and look under the big rock") is the evil twist. At TC the person finds out that they automatically RECEIVE 3 votes. "Never take the easy road in this game" or something as the evil tagline....I think it would be interesting to see a Sugar or Fairplay saying "Im not an idiot im gunna do the easy one" then see it blow up infront of them.

Twists, in my view, are to enhance the players and bring about interesting reactions. Like how Andrew on PI treated the Outcasts, that was fascinating. Twists are not designed to replace actual camp content.
