While finishing up the list of my final 3 video game main bad guys, I'm listening to Allison Iraheta and Cyndi Lauper's stunningly amazing duet of
"Time After Time" from the AI8 finale. This performance was the highlight of the season for me and just proved how robbed Allison was to not even
make the top 3. Cyndi's still got it, too. <3
K, now to kick off the top 3:
3. Lavos (Chrono Trigger)
I'll start this description by telling you all that Chrono Trigger is one of the best RPGs of all time and if you haven't ever played it, then it's not too late to pick it up for Nintendo DS cuz they did a port of it with some new sidequests and it's great! Now, Chrono Trigger is a game based on time travel and the choices that you make in the past which affect the future. You kind of start traveling through time by accident and you just want to get home safely, but then you warp to the future and you see that it's a desolate wasteland! Oh no!!!! How did it get like this!? Lavos. WTF is Lavos!?!? An alien parasite that lived deep undergrounf, feeding on the planet's energy and when he was ready, he unearthed himself and unleashed the apocalypse (in year 1999 if I remember correctly, rofl). So Lavos sounds like a total jerk. But how did he get there (a falling meteor)!? When did he get there (65,000,000 BC)!?!? You get to find alllllll of that out and more. You also find out that in the past, there were people who called themselves zealots and were an advanced race of human beings with magical powers who lived in floating continents above the cold tundra. They discovered Lavos and found out he was draining the planet of energy so they decided to drain Lavos of energy and use it for themselves. They thought they were in control, but little did they know that Lavos was really the one in control. He turned the zealots mad with power and opened the rifts in time!!! OMG, this game is so good. I could go on about it forever. <333 In the end, you go to the day of the apocalypse and destroy Lavos before he destroys the world. The battle with Lavos is SWEET! It's a 3-part battle with each part harder than the previous. The battle music is also EPIC and different for each stage of the battle and here it is in a youtube clip:
2. Thanatos (Secret of Mana)
I lost the whole write-up of him because yuku's video embedding option SUCKS! And I don't feel like redoing the whole write up so here's a summary: Thanatos is evil because he steals people's bodies so that he can live eternally. He wanted his next victim to be his last so he could keep one strong body eternally and also to become invincible so he found the perfect host body and set out to unleash the power of Mana to use for himself. He does so and finally when he's going to inhabit his new body, you stop him! All that work for nothing! So he unleashes his Dark Lich form on you and attacks you!!! The battle is epic and the battle music is EXTRA epic! <333 His weakness is light magic which only the girl in your team can use (she's also the only one with healing magic so use your spells wisely). This is the second-to-last boss battle of the game (because the Mana Beast whom was previously on this list is the actual final boss) but Thanatos is the main antagonist throughout the game. He knew the Mana Beast was coming to restore order, but Thanatos was kind of planning on being an invicible being when she got there. Too bad you stopped him.

Another reason that FF8 sucks. Both the male and the female leads were the worst ever. Squall sucks because
he's sooooooooo emo.
