Dockers players 'dressed up in KKK outfits'

The Fremantle Dockers football club is embroiled in controversy after one of its coaches stated on radio that some players dress up in Ku Klux Klan outfits as a practical joke.

The Dockers development coach Steve Malaxos told radio station SportFM at the weekend that the players often carry out pranks on each other.

Responding to questions that one player wrote a three kilometre time trial on the training whiteboard as a joke, Malaxos said there was a reasonable amount of pranks going on all the time at the club.

"Sometimes they raid each others houses in like, sort of Ku Klux Klan outfits as well. That's one of the other pranks," he said.

The Fremantle Dockers have called a media conference this afternoon to discuss the issue.
