Ahhh, Utica is about 45 minutes above us. Nice area. That will be a nice stretch to ride.

The part of NY between Albany and Syracuse is probably the worst place in the state.
Nothing but broken down Erie Canal towns. |

Montreal to Albany is majestic though.
Too bad you aren't going in the other direction. |

Either way he'll be on I 87 thru the mountains so he'll see the same thing.

Actually, I'm taking route 9 which basically parallels the I 87 but is bike-friendly. Has anyone been to any of the following locations? Lacolle, Quebec;
Rouses Point, NY; or Plattsburgh NY?

Is Plattsburgh right by Lake Placid? I remember my aunt from Lake Placid was telling me that that placed sucked and at one point there were Canadian refugees
being smuggled there or something?
RoMa, I said noTHING, not no ONE. |

Goosehead wrote:Yes, yes and yes lol.They are small ass towns.Lacolle has a small border crossing which is quicker than the main one -other than that it's nothing.Rouses point is the American version of Lacolle lol. Plattsburgh has the University of Plattsburgh-other than that nothing. Too bad you're taking old route 9 - I used to take it before they built I-87 and it was long and boring but now that you said it I've never seen bike riders on 87 so guess it's not allowed.

Lol are you putting us on ? I think so from that last comment so I'm done here.

no, I'm not putting you on. That's why I asked if anyone's been to those places. If there's nothing in Lacolle or anywhere on the Canadian side
to camp/book a room, then I'll have to really push to get passed the border. lol, why do you think I'm putting you on?
