Battlestar Galactica and The Shield (in their final season) Boston Legal (also in final season, and a perennial) The Mentalist (Simon Baker pretty much a lock anyway) True Blood (wildcard, its broadcast timing is out of sync w. traditional programs) In Treatment (gained steam this year) Grays Anatomy (because its become a perennial, sadly) Dexter (should get acting nods, but can it come on strong here?) If 24, CSI or Law and Order get in, then it's a travesty.

In no way, shape or form is American Idol outstandingly made. And if the Emmys continue their snubbage of Big Love, I'm done with them for good.

She got a fucking amazing role this season. I'm just disappointed that Ellen Pompeo gets snubbed for Meredith. The last two seasons she has been really great, especially with the last two finales. Most of the cast is highly deserving of winning Emmys for their roles, they play them with such passion that you can actually feel the emotion for their characters. Even George in his tiniest roles all season long had me in %%# in the finale this season.

Yup, all the major categories are getting bumped to 6-7 nominees this year. I blame that fetus-looking woman from "The Closer." They could have just left her out this year. I'm sure the voters will make sure she never gets recognized. . And the problem with Ellen Pompeo is that she's nominated with really strong women every year-Sally Field, Glenn Close, Holly Hunter, etc. Even their shittiest work is better then Ellen's best work. And a lot of them have been nominated/won Oscars, which weighs heavily in voters minds. That's why I think we'll see Marcia Gay Harden take the supporting for "Damages" this year. I just hope True Blood and United States of Tara are nominated in the show catagories. In the actor/actress catagories, I hope we see Toni Collette and Anna Paquin of course. I'm also hoping for some small surprises and maybe Rutina Wesley, Ryan Kwanten, or Nelsan Ellis nominated in the supporting catagoris. Please, please, pretty pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease! I wish they would stop nominating House and Grey's Anatomy every fucking year.

The Emmys ALWAYS fuck up somehow, so I know I'll be disappointed . Segdwick needs to be banished from the earth, and as much as I love Hunter for her work in The Piano, Broadcast News, and Thirteen, her work in SG is nothing spectacular. Hopefully Paquin can seal a nomination + Tripplehorn (assuming Sevigny is supporting). And if Sevigny isn't nominated anywhere, she'll officially be the most robbed person ever. Not only should she be nominated, she should win.

I really want to say True Blood will wrack up, but I don't know how crazy the emmy voters will be when it comes to vampire stuff. They didn't even nominate SMG for "Buffy" until the final season. But, don't count out some ER noms either. The Emmys like to award shows that are over and done with since they'll never get the chance to again.

Actor in a Drama Matthew Fox - LOST (On principal alone this needs to happen. The fact that he has never been nominated is truly insane. Should have won hands down last year. If LOST ends without one Matthew Fox nomination, it will be on par with the mis-treatment of Veronica Mars.) Mark Paul-Gosselaar - Raising the Bar (If that chick from The Closer can steal a nomination every year, why can't Mark Paul get one that is deserved? Hair cut aside, Gosselaar raised his game in the show's first season and is my sleeper nominee this year.) Actress in a Drama Evangeline Lily - LOST (This won't be as popular a choice as Fox, and I know it looks like I'm just LOST-ing it up, but great work at a consistent rate for 5 years? Deserves a nomination at the very least.) Actor in a Comedy James Roday - Psych (Never been nominated for an Emmy? "Really dude". Roday is for my money the best on the scene right now and his work deserves to be recognized. He doesn't need to win, but I cannot be convinced there are six better leading men on TV right now. I just can't) Actress in a Comedy Yvonne Strahovski - Chuck (She plays the role with such a dynamic combination of strength and innocence. It will be an overall shame if Chuck gets ignored by voters this year. I know this is a stretch, but I feel it is very much deserved. If Levi gets nominated and Strahovski doesn't...) Supporting Actor in a Drama Josh Holloway - LOST (It has to be this year. It was essentially his season! He did everything the Sawyer character is known for to perfection and brought even more to table because of the leadership/Juliet arcs. Holloway deserves the nom.) Supporting Actress in a Drama Sophia Bush - One Tree Hill (Yes I know this kills any credability I may have had up to this point and is an insult to long shots to call this a long shot, but her work, especially in the first half of the season was breathtaking. It would be the biggest shocker in the history of the event if she was nominated, but I'm just throwing it out there. I do feel it is deserved.) Supporting Actor in a Comedy Adam Baldwin - Chuck (Same goes for Adam as I said with Yvonne. These two keep the fresh and truly make it what it is. Baldwin never misses a beat and steals every episode. I hope it happens for him this year.) Dule Hill - Psych (Look no further then the Season 3 finale to know that Dule deserves this nom. I am hoping that this is Psych's year overall, but at worst, Roday and Hill have to be nominated. It's essential.)
