Why did they let two people who knew each other before go on the show together?
Were you old enough to watch Seattle?

Oh my god
I loved this first episode. Jasmine, I knew she would be full of LOLs when she was like "OHHHH CANCUNNNNN IMMA GONNA GET IN SOME TROUBLEEEEE" hahahahaha Her Sharon comment is cracking me up and her face was PRICELESSS! I am going to love that girl for real. Bronne makes me giggle. He is very odd looking, but kinda hot. Derek cracks me up. Especially when Emilee went bitch crazy. Emilee might be nuts and that is scary. Jonna looked busted at the end. Get yo face in check. Joey irks me. |

Remember with Seattle, they almost cast Nathan's girlfriend. I think it was between her and David.

Bronne sort of reminds me of Isaac in a way.

Danny from New Orleans wasn't very feminine. Neither was Chris from Chicago. Even Davis never came off as overly feminine to me.

Boys don't cry, CArboys. You should know that. Danny was not particularly feminine, agreed. The guy from... was it Chicago, though boring as Hell and
totally lacking personality, was also far from feminine.

Who on the Real World isn't a stereotype (or at least cast that way)?

I'm not straight but I can beat my straight friends in any sport and kick their ass, I work out and stay in shape and I'm super athletic and I don't get emotional about everything. |

JoshCflyring wrote:I know what you're saying. I was just trying to make the point that you can almost say that about any person on the show. Every stereotype is going to piss people off. My annoyance with the gay guys they cast aren't even about the stereotypes, but how one dimensional and boring they seem to be. I don't care if they're "feminine" or "masculine," but I wish they all had more depth. Of course, once again, that's more of the people in general in more recent seasons. Even some of the stereotypical gay guys from early seasons (such as Dan from Miama) were at least interesting characters to watch, stereotypical or not. I think with what you're saying, Josh, is that you'd like the gay guy to be the "All American Guy." Typically, that role is taken by a straight guy, so I don't know if they'd cast two, though the dichotomy could be interesting. |

pjadedd wrote:I agree 100%...the people watching are always like I hate the gay guy on the show. And people watching are all going to get the impression that every gay person is like that. I almost want to go on the show to prove that not every gay guy going on the Real World is not your stereotypical one dimensional, boring, feminine, female sounding, etc...I think The Real World is doing better with other stereotypes including African American females (Brittini, Brianna, the girl from last season, this season) as being more classy and not ghetto. |
