Kris Allen and Danny Gokey

Kris starts, with the proper feel but not quite the pitch. Danny's start comes off very thin in comparison; Kris' voice sounds much richer in comparison. And they're taking the intro line too fast IMO. It leads them into a very pitchy high-energy passage. Both of them are shouting and straining to hit the notes above the accompaniment and their pitch suffers. When they harmonize together on the chorus, much stronger and the pitch is spot-on. Odd. Just ... odd.

A 5 on balance.

Randy: I like the harmonies. You guys compliment each other. The individual vocals, okay, but the harmonies were on blast! Loved that!
Kara: (something about helping women across the street) Pitchy moments as individuals, but together united and strong.
Poler: It was powerful, compelling. Good job.
Simon: Who was better? Danny you were better than Kris, how's that?
(Was he paid to say that or summat? Because you can tell he didn't believe it!)
