So both Locke and Christian are in the same 'meta-state' that is different than normal living. I think. Hey - what if at the end of the finale they're all back on 815, and it's the present again, and all that stuff never happened, but they all have the memories of it? And where are Rose and Bernard?

So, wouldn't the compass Richard gave to the other Locke in 2007 be rusty? And wouldn't it continue to rust for 50+ more years again the next cycle? The compass seems to have no origin and should also rust away to dust in this paradox...
