I read her book and her stuff makes sense for her and her kid.

However I believe most children with autism (of varying degrees) are born with it. In her case, her son was sick. He had fevers and seizures and was treated with seizure meds. Then he lost verbal skills, etc and "became" autistic.

It may be true that some children can't tolerate the immunization schedule and perhaps that is something that should be looked at. For most children immunizations are fine and necessary, imo.

My oldest has Asperger's. My other two children had the same immunizations and neither have been diagnosed the same.

It's not an all or nothing or every scenario kind of thing.

I believe there are more cases for a couple reasons:

1 - kids are getting diagnosed earlier, doctors/parents are alert and looking for problems.
2 - the autism spectrum is broader with the inclusion of Asperger's and Pervasive Developmental Disorder, both on the higher functioning end and quite possibly those with it in the past were just considered "odd" or as "misfits".
