She just got lucky with the Exile Alliance and all. I think Stephen played a much better game than JT. Couldn't help that he flopped in front of the lopsided jury. Spoiler [+] The next two out are... Sydney and Brendan . I guess.

She would've been higher than Sydney if I were lenient and chose to discount her whole post merge game completely, it would've put her up at about 7/6.

It's more complicated than that. Who were Joe/Spencer/Sydney going to vote for to force a tie? The 3 of them were not going to vote for JT because he was the best challenge performer. Let's not forget that by the time that Spencer was voted out, Taj had been sent to Exile 3 times and Stephen had been sent to Exile once. In spite of her saying that she didn't have the HII, one would have to think that the odds that she was lying and she had found the HII were pretty good (especially since she and Stephen had found it by then). Taj had cast a throwaway vote for Joe at the previous Tribal Council. If Joe/Spencer/Sydney had forced a tie and voted for Taj, there was a good chance of Taj playing the HII and sending Joe or Sydney out of the game. Most of the time the non-strategy that Sydney used would have gotten her to the merge, so it's w/e. There were other variables, like Taj's exile experience and the guy's alliance, that worked against her. So no, she wasn't a good or interesting player, but she also wasn't a bad player the way people seem to imply. Sierra is an example of a bad player.

Sierra fucked up her post merge game so it definitely sets her game back. Jerry = I saw no strategy. Joe = Um... Force a tie against Taj that round ffs? She wasn't even playing her idol plus Stephen/JT would've flipped to avoid a purple rock plus JT wasn't aligned with Taj at that point of time. He pretty much let himself be 4th position if Jalapao survived the post merge like they did and even then he would've ended up 5th or lower since Erinn was one of Stephen's closest allies. Sydney still being in... She's my controversial choice for this list and yanno, her game wasn't bad. She defo played a game like how a woman should pre-merge but she got screwed with Jalapao's constant losses despite two alpha males on her tribe.

Erinn was closest to Stephen because Joe left. If Joe stays in, we see a more typical pangonging from JETS + Joe at nine. He could join up with the Timbira ladies (Erinn, Debbie, Sierra) at seven if he needed to. The biggest thing is the three biggest jury threats (JT, Stephen, Taj) were in an alliance at five. It would not be unfathomable for one of them to try to cut off the others' knees to try to get a goat in the final two. Does this make Joe a good player? No, we have no idea what he woulda done. Undoubtedly he had options though. The Spencer boot wasn't a huge mistake because merge was at 10 and if they keep losing, Joe survives.
