No, she wasn't the first Timbira target. She was Candace's target, but Candace's opinion didn't matter. Sierra was the first target. Then Candace, then Erinn. Debbie wasn't a target, which is a good thing, but she did not save herself by any sort of genius plan. She latched onto Tyson, who knew he could use her.

Not only that, but she said in confessional after that when she approached Sierra she didn't even know if she herself wanted to go with Timbira, she was just checking options and wanted Stephen and JT to return and have a heart to heart with them.

Really? You have a way of twisting quotes such as this from her interview with realitynewsonline.com:

So no. And as the day went on, she started changing her answer to "I don't know what I would have done in that situation" but she remained clear on two things: (1) She would have gone to the final 3 with Stephen and JT and (2) She meant her promise at the time she made it.

FAIL.

1.) She was the only person in the game who had a shot against JT, and she would have taken down Stephen easily.

Considering Sierra listed Debbie as her #3 friend out there behind Taj and Brendan.
Considering Erinn called her "an amazing friend for life".
Considering Coach and Tyson were tightly aligned with her.
Considering JT would have to have given the big FU to Taj or Stephen, it's wholly plausible that one of them would vote for her out of spite.

Debbie had a huge fucking shot against JT. Against Stephen? It's not even close.

2.) Coach told Candace they were voting off the weak and that Debbie was first because she was so small. This was before Debbie threw Candace under the bus to save her own hide, gaining trust with Coach.

3.) Sierra said from the beginning she was not going to align back up with Coach and had her mind set beforehand. 30 seconds after the argument she went to Debbie and told her how sorry she was she that she wouldn't join back up.

4.) She was one of the few people not playing for JT. She was willing to cut her allies to stay another day. If she gets Coach gone at six, she has a huge chance at breaking up JETS because of her social gifts. She overplayed her hand. Much smaller mistake than Joe demanding Spencer go.

I will argue any point you make, and considering I'm winning, you might as well fuck off now.

Yes, and Debbie didn't know how stubborn Sierra really was because she freaked out two minutes into the conversation. Maybe after 20, 30 minutes, I wouldn't blame her.

If she was going to break up JETS, she would have done it while she was there, genius. And she didn't turn on Coach, they forced her into it, so that wasn't even her move. And she feels so bad about it till this day!

regarding the "original plan" scene with Erinn. I noticed when listening online last night that coach's comment "the original plan when we walked into camp, we vote Sierra"... there is an obvious break right right before "vote Sierra"... Sierra wasn't the original person. The editors dubbed that in.

So... who was Coach actually talking about. We know it wasn't Erinn, Candace, Tyson, or Jerry... they were all there. I also don't think it was Brendan (We have been lead to believe that Coach thinks that Brendan is on side with him)

Since it can't be Sierra (as she was dubbed in )... that leaves Debbie.

This fits with the "worrying scene" Panurge pointed out. It also explains WHY Debbie would report to Coach that Candace was trash talking him. Debbie is not a stupid person. She might be overly enthusiastic and maybe a bit naïve.... but she runs a whole school... she not dumb! She knew she was on the chopping block, and she did something about it. She reported to the "leader" of the tribe that someone was unhappy. Smart.

It's actually pretty clear what probably happened.... During the trek the 1st impression to vote out Sierra proves to be wrong... Debbie struggles on the trek ("It's so heavy"). They take frequent breaks (per Tyson's comment "we're taking another break" & the fact that they arrived SO MUCH LATER than Jalapao)... they arrive at camp to find the "sick bird" has built them shelter. Hmm.

The group of 6 (Coach, Candace, Erinn, Tyson, Jerry & Brendan) decide to vote for Debbie whenever the 1st vote occurs.... superceding the "original" vote (voting for Sierra at the truck). This explains Erinn's confusion. She's thinking, original plan was Sierra... wasn't it? Coach explains... no the original plan was "when we walked into camp".... It's those precise words that make Erinn all giggly... (oh right! she thinks). Additional note.... during that scene, Sierra and Debbie are both absent. As is Brendan (since he's on exile) I also suspect that the "original plan" scene takes place BEFORE Debbie disses on Candace (sounds like a bad porno title... sorry)....

So why would the editors go out of their way to make it seem like Sierra is in so much trouble.

Maybe the better question is ... why do they NOT want us to know that Debbie was in serious trouble?

Well... I think maybe Debbie goes really far. I don't think she wins, but she wins over Coach... and I think they probabaly find they have a lot in common (both being in the educaton field, etc.) Additionally, if you listen carefully to everything Coach says... well, in general... but specifically about Sierra... it's all spliced together. The man has been totally manipulated and created. I actually think Coach and Sierra are much tighter than we've been shown and i suspect that the 3 of them will go very far togther

She makes it to five she has a HUGE chance at 2. She has the exact body type that wins f5 immunity. JT obviously goes. Final four Erinn wants Taj gone. Debbie would have to win final three immunity, but it's not beyond her considering Stephen could only hold four balls.
