In response to the concerns above about those who didn't have flash forwards, it has been bugging me a bit that we haven't been told yet about the
flash forwards of the half of the world that would be sleeping at the time. Did they experience dreams or just darkness? I suppose they intentionally left this
out because it would supply us too much information too soon.

I'm still wondering about Charlie's (Mark's daughter) flashforward... She see's Dylan but what leads her to say "there are no more good
times" and how does she know that D Gibbons is a bad, bad man.

@ Frenchchick, that's an interesting theory, which board were you reading it at?

mick, I realize she could have been lying. I didn't remember where she said she got the information or how she could have seen something that
happens in March. My question was answered.
I get confused a lot. ;) |

Yeah, the original question just got me thinking about that scene and it occurred to me that we might not want to take what she's saying at face value. Plus, it has to be mega-important down the road whether she's telling the truth or not. You don't bring in Oscar-nominated actresses to film one throwaway phonecall scene |

anybody want tickets to the tigers game 4-29-10? it's an afternoon game. my daughter is infatuated with joe mauer and i am totally obligated to take her to
every minnesota game so she can embarass me with her sign 'always a tiger, but joe mauer makes me purr'. we'll be to the outfield side of the twins
dugout (so she can make sure he sees the sign) if anybody wants to join us. $70 oughta be the going price.

The 18-49 has slipped to 2.5-2.6 range, which is slightly below the generally accepted "safe" level, 2.7 (as explained at tvbythenumbers.com).
Hopefully the "male" factor I've read about ("the 18-49 skews heavily male for this show") will work in its favor at decision-making time. |

Goosehead, it was on the flashforward section of the lost-tvforums.com. The folks over there, as you expect from Lost fans, also have screen shots of
Mark's flashforward board and other information supporting this theory, including my favorite:
If the writers are trying to do some foreshadowing, then an otherwise non-sensical subplot (Lloyd runs out of time with Halloween, ends up dressing his son as Flav-a-flav) gains new meaning. Not sure how many of you are familiar with Dylan's favorite book ("Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" according to the Halloween episode), but in it, two main characters use a little device called a Time Turner. The Time Turner manifests itself as a sand timer worn around the neck that one flips when they want to go back in time. Dylan has a clock around his neck in this episode, one that he plays with constantly. |

I'm still standing by my main beef that everyone is just going about their business in their FF, when realistically they would all be huddled around tvs at
parties waiting for the moment to happen. Someone did say they were at Times Square, but I have a hard time believing that the President will simply be asleep
(even if it is 1am) and the bureau chief will be in the john casually reading a newspaper. Both of these men should be on alert as zero hour approaches.
Another nitpick is that all the characters keep seeming to refer to the FF as April 29th. That's fine for the local characters in Los Angeles. But if it's 10pm in Los Angeles, then Los Angeles is among the only major metropolises for whom it was still April 29th; from Central Time onward it'd be April 30th. Most of the world would have experienced April 30th, and in general that's the date people would refer to, for example in the Congressional hearing. Finally, I doubt that the Mosaic website would be THE primary gathering place for FF stories. It certainly cannot be the only one - dozens of sites must have been set up in the immediate aftermath of the blackout - so do we really think the one we'd gravitate toward would be a government website? At any rate, I'm glad they threw in the wrench of the guy killing himself and changing the future. That's worth sticking around for. |
