I agree with everyone who says the "shocking" vote is at F4, and that whoever was targeted (of JT/Stephen) wins the tiebreaker, thus leading Taj (or Erinn, but I wouldn't think Erinn voting for one of them would be considered a shocking betrayal, or anything she's really have to explain) to have to come up a clever lie.

I hope Taj and Erinn convince the guys to let them fight it out in a tie-breaker and then they vote for JT/Stephen whoever doesn't have immunity with a 2-1-1 vote. But the guys would probably think of this and threaten one of the women to avoid a tiebreaker if they change their votes to her. Actually there are alot of different possibilities with this type of play.

Except that the preview shows Stephen worried about how JT voted for Erinn and not Coach. Not like they're just faking for Taj and Erinn cause they're talking alone. JT tells a clever lie to cover then he votes for Taj to get booted and Stephen sees JT's been lying to him.

I found this interchange interesting because I distinctly recall JT telling Stephen that he couldn't vote for Coach because he [JT] wouldn't break his work to Coach. JT also told Stephen to vote how he thought best. At that time Stephen knew that the vote was 2 for Erinn and 2 for Coach and that he [Stephen] was going to be the tie-breaker and he could have just as easily cast his vote for Erinn knowing she would go. I think that it was only after the TC went down and Coach went out that Stephen started realizing that JT may have had another motive for not voting for Coach and that was to shore up a vote at final TC. For all of Stephen's great game-play, it surprised me that he didn't think of this until after the deed was done.

When Stephen calls him out on this, it will become very clear to Taj that JT expects to be sitting next to Stephen in the final two. Taj knew that Coach expected her and Erinn to vote for him and for JT and Stephen to vote Erinn with him. So if Stephen calls out JT for the "saving face with Coach vote" it should become crystal clear to Taj that JT only imagines that Stephen will be in the F2 with him. Stephen's annoyance with JT also lets Taj know that Stephen expects that JT will be sitting next to him too, as he wouldn't be so irked if he didn't think he'd be pleading his case against JT. This opens the door for Taj to turn around and "stab them in the back" by forcing a tie by voting with Erinn. Looks to me like Taj will try to force a tie by voting with Erinn for whichever guy doesn't take immunity. The big shocker will come if JT or Stephen votes with Taj and Erinn to whammy the other. Of course, this all is predicated on Taj interpreting that Stephen's annoyance has bad implications for her end game. I'd hope that she does... but she may have blinders on and not see what is sitting right in front of her. Bottom line... JT made an unnecessary move that could either cost him the game or knock out his biggest opponent... depending on whether he can keep winning immunity. Stephen was just sticking with the game plan he and JT had mapped out going into the last tribal council.

Yup that's why I believe the first vote in the clue refers to this...there is no reason to show them discusing it on the show much less the preview. JT is a bit more clever than we've been shown...while Stephen is regarded as a sneaky second banana.

Posts: 2817 (05/17/09 6:04 AM) MESS member More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	With Debbie saying they'd be sorry they kept Erinn over her and with Debbie saying she was unaware that Stephen was a strategist, and the fact that Taj isn't in her equation, leads me to think that Taj is out at final 4, Stephen is out at final 3 and Erinn and JT make it to the final 4, with JT by a landslide. Or Debbie is great at misdirection in interviews. But then I was hoping they'd get rid of Erinn.
