The Amazing Race 11 (also known as The Amazing Race: All-Stars) is the eleventh installment of the reality television show, The Amazing Race. The Amazing Race 11 featured eleven teams of two - ten returning teams from previous editions, and one couple from two different teams who met on a previous race - in a race around the world.

The season premiered on February 18, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. EST, 7:00 CST for one hour, ^[1] and the season finale was on May 6, 2007.^[3]

So after Survivor and Big Brother had their all-star seasons, The Amazing Race finally got its own. They got 11 teams from seven previous seasons, wisely ignoring the shitty seasons 4, 6, and 8. We ended up with a cast of great personalities and a competitive drive to win... and Eric & Danielle. Yeah, there were some duds and disappointments, like, say, the winners, but overall it was still a solid season and it was great to see some old favorites again.

1. Kevin & Drew. Every All-Stars season has one person who, while awesome on their season, ends up being a dud on All-Stars. The person for TAR All-Stars was Drew, who was constantly bitching and whining about everything. Kevin seemed to be the same endearing guy he was on TAR1, but Drew was just a sour bitch, not to mention he was pretty weak, I think due to some injury or whatever he suffered awhile back. He also tried to run Kevin over while they were stuck in the mud. Unfortunately, they ended up only lasting two legs, and Drew kept trying to walk away when they were being eliminated. It's sad watching someone you've been a big fan of become a bitter grouch. Oh well, the race goes on.
2. David & Mary. They got pretty lucky to even get 6th on their season, and they didn't have any allies this time, so their days were numbered before the race even began. Of course they were happy to get to race with all the teams they had seen on TV, but that didn't help them out much and they ended up getting 9th place three times, the third time eliminating them. I also don't really remember, well, anything about this season, but wasn't Mary more of a bitch this time around than on TAR10?
3. Letters. In leg 4, the remaining teams had to search through lots of mail to find one of two letters addressed to them from previous teams. Annoyingly, Wikipedia doesn't have who sent the letters, but most of the teams found some encouraging letters, the most surprising of which was from one of Lyn or Karlyn rooting for the Beauty Queens despite their rivalry the previous season. However, the best letters were the insulting ones, like the one Patrick sent Rob & Amber, where he made them say ridiculous-sounding words as an attempt to slow them down, or Marshall and/or Lance, who pretty much used their letter to insult Charla & Mirna again. Brilliant Roadblock.
4. Rob & Amber. After the first three legs, it seemed they were stronger than ever, scoring three first place finishes. Yes, three wins in a row, an impressive number few can pull off. Leg 4, however, Romber started falling apart, fucking up at the Detour and falling behind before their surprising elimination. Other than that, Rob was the same as ever, using underhanded tricks to slow down other teams, though Amber seemed to actually have a backbone this time and stood up against Rob a couple times. Still, glad they left sooner than later, and this marks the fourth (or is it fifth?) time Rob has lost a reality show. Wonderful.
5. Poland. Legs 7 and 8 had a lot of interesting stuff happen, like the touching moment the teams experienced at Auschwitz, or that fucking piece-of-shit Intersection coming back. Danny & Oswald and Uchenna & Joyce actually managed to net a double fast-forward, both getting first place, though only Uchenna & Joyce got the prize. Everyone else got to be paired up with their rivals and try to suck down a bunch of meat, leading to some great innuendo and a great line from Eric in "Ladies and gentlemen, Miss California!" as Dustin vomited. I think the most shocking part of that detour were the Guidos and E&D being unable to cram so much meat down their throats. Even better was the Roadblock, where we got to see Charla walk around and fall in knight armor. The Guidos ended up getting eliminated because Eric & Danielle are a crappy team and the Guidos were marked for elimination. Fucking idiotic decision to have an Intersection after a non-elim leg. Hell, the Intersection in itself is idiotic, and I'm glad that piece of shit is gone, even though that leg was pretty good.
6. Uchenna & Joyce. The only winners to be on All-Stars. Eh, they were nice but kinda boring in TAR7, and it's pretty much the same story here. Not much to say other than missing a connecting flight rendered them from first to a distant last and got them eliminated. Oh, and Uchenna being the only straight male of the F6 teams. Dunno why the producers chose the boring Uchenna & Joyce over the much more entertaining and bitter-to-not-be-asked-on Chip & Kim, but oh well.
7. Oswald & Danny. Speaking of teams that haven't changed much, Oswald & Danny were still as fabulous to watch as ever. They were consistently strong, ever optimistic, and just enjoyed themselves the entire way through. There were a couple hiccups here and there, but they were still fantastic to watch as they chilled while everyone freaked out and were trying to backstab each other. They ended up leaving at the F4, the same place they got in TAR2, so at least we got to enjoy most of the season with them again. I think they were also the only team to ever do two Fast Forwards.
   
8. Charla & Mirna. I have a sad confession to make: During TAR5, I was posting at that shithole TWoP, and the hivemind there brainwashed me into hating this team. Luckily, I found Sucks soon after and was able to undo all that horrible programming and learned to love this team. So while many were dreading Mirna's rudeness to locals, I was enjoying all their crazy antics, and boy, were there a lot! Mirna was as crazy as ever, constantly harassing people and saying weird-ass shit, while Charla kicked ass with her midget powers. They were kind of weak at first, but soon managed to land a couple of first-place wins and stay competitive. I also have to mention Suckster izad (I hope I got that name correct) helping them during one of the tasks later on in the race, which was just too cool. They managed to make the F3, but sadly only got third, though some people still like to believe they actually won. Yeah, the winners were that bad.
9. Dustin & Kandace. They were a pretty strong team on TAR10, and many thought they would be the show's first all-female winners considering how strong and competitive they were. All-Stars came, and they were even more competitive than before. They made some enemies with their ruthless behavior, but they weren't complete pricks like Rob either. I wasn't a big fan of the team either season, but it's hard to argue that they aren't strong, and this time they actually made it to the F3, only to get second. So two out of the final three teams were FF teams, and they both still lost. Ouch. But hey, they did well, netting four first-place finishes, so it's all good, I guess, even if the million bucks would've been better.
   
10. Eric & Danielle. They were actually from two different teams in TAR9, with Danielle being with Dani and Eric with Jeremy. So instead of Jeremy, we got ninth-placer Danielle. Delightful. It was an interesting dynamic for me, but that's because I'm one of like five people who actually liked Eric, though I thought Danielle sucked and Jeremy should've been on instead. Anyway, they were mediocre. It was mostly Eric lugging around dead weight. They didn't get a single first-place finish until the final leg, where Danielle finally proved useful in the final task, one based on quotes other teams had said. Yes, that was the final task. So we end up with Eric & Danielle, a team few people could stand and a team I don't think anybody actually liked, winning All-Stars. Come on, this was sort of expected after Amber and Boogie won their All-Star seasons. This didn't bother me as much as it did most people, as I actually like Eric and thought he was a deserving winner, though Danielle didn't deserve to even be there in the first place. Oh well, at least TAR9 represented well.

Eh, most of these All-Star seasons are the same. Some people disappoint, some stay the same, and some exceed their expectations, and you always get a winner most people don't care for. It was a good journey and a nice opportunity to see some old favorites again, especially those that kicked ass. Sure, a better winner would've been niced, but it's just not All-Stars without a winner nobody likes, so oh well.
