OMG this song is awful...does Kris have to sing it too? This must be the one Aam said he was having problems with.

Adam Lambert.
The Coronation Song: No Boundaries by Kara DioGuardi This should be .. um .. interesting. Love the piano intro, soft and understated, as Adam slides a note in under the piano. As with most Kara songs, there's a strong beat from the beginning, and I think Adam's interpretation is spot-on from the start, although he was rhythmically off early, and rather pitchy heading into the title line. Is this supposed to be an 80's power ballad? Because it's coming off as such. "You can go Diva" is definitely this millennium, though; and now I see why it was alleged that this song was written for Adam. The middle is solid, though. I would have actually preferred it shoutier in the middle, if you can believe that, because the shouty final line is the part of this song that's the most convincing. Nice freestyle toward the end, above the melody line, if (again) a little pitchy. An 8 on balance (definitely better in the second half). Randy: I say the word and they start chanting! Dude, you can sing anything! You can sing the phone book, but that was not one of my favorite Adam performances. A little pitchy in spots. Just aiight for me. Kara: It's amazing that someone with your level of talent sings a song I have written. Thank you for giving me that moment. Adam: Thank you for the song. Beautiful. Paula: Adjectives can't express what you've brought to Season 8. I'm in awe. You can sing whatever you want and I will be a fan forever. Simon: It's the mountains and the hurricanes. Kara: I know. I know. Simon: I'm not going to judge the song. I'll judge you. You're one of the most original contestants we've ever had on this show. The whole idea is to find a worldwide star. I genuinely believe with all my heart that we have found that with you. Congratulations. |
