On the piano tonight. Starts almost perfectly, holding the penultimate word in the line just the right length of time. The tone is awesome and the pitch is passable to start. Second line, much stronger, more soulful and more rhythmic. Nice mixing up of the "I know" part that could have been boring, but was made interesting. Heartfelt leading into the final title line, to the apparent amazement of a completely silent crowd. Solid finish.

Audience: IEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Randy: I liked that you grabbed the mic. It's been said about great basketball teams. I hope the Lakers win tonight. I can tell exactly what kind of an artist you'll be. That was one of your best performances ever on the stage!
Kara: Gotta agree with Randy. If you can't feel a Kris Allen performance, if he doesn't move you, something's wrong with you. You make it feel like you're singing to us! Incredible skill! You'll kill on your album!
Paula: You have a unique way of Allenizing everything you do. True mark of a great artist.
Simon: We've gotta remember right now, that this is a competition. Gotta be honest with you. Last week I wasn't sure America made the right choice.
