Don't pimp him now, you didn't all season and it worked out just fine for him.

If they market Kris in that fashion - very grassroots, underground-esque he will do very well.

dam is talented as well but Kris worked harder than him and I admire his musicianship. No offense, but how can you tell? Part of my point is that they would NEVER put an Idol winner on the small club circuit. Ruben's solo tour ended up being on small club circuits. I don't think Taylor could even sell out said clubs now. |

Good thing I didn't like either of them, so now I can just sit here and laugh at everyone.

And yes, I am happy for both of them.

Several people this season ... even prior boots to the top 13 (top 13 had a lot of shitty singers though) had more talent than him. |

I think Kris would do well with a similiar tour to what David Cook was doing. A bunch of college venues. They sold out. Kris would appeal to that kind of
demographic too.

I suspect Kris is going to keep on surprising and become a major success. |

Well at least Kris never had to wear a shirt with his damned area code on it.

It's Helen (Biggest Loser) all over again, beating the expected winners (Tara/Mike = Adam/Danny).
Kris is a nice (unhomophobic) guy, but there are many youtube acoustic male singers that are just as good, if not, much better than him. |

Congratulations Kris! <3 Not really my cuppa tea, but very talented and delivered some beautiful moments. Major props for standing strong despite TPTB,
especially for a shy guy, that alone is an achievement. Good luck in your career (and I hope they don't saddle you with that dreadful song.)
Adam, the real star for me <3<3<3 Thank you (and Allison) for rocking the Idol stage, for making an otherwise mostly annoying season exciting for me. May you always be a bit divisive, as so many true musical innovators have been. I wish you hadn't been so pimped -- you didn't need it at all. No doubt you have an amazing career ahead. Definitely the best F2 ever. And both of you are real sweethearts, and gorgeous to boot. And not Gokey!!!!! Yay. |

I think Kris winning is going to make it harder for Danny to get a record deal (yay!) since the focus will be on Kris and Adam, wheras if it was Adam that won
I could see them totally blowing of Kris and focusing on Adam and Danny!!!

I will say seeing Adison together at the end, brought some joy to lessen the blow..
But, they both seemed so happy for Kris...I expect backlash on Kris though |

Congrats Kris.Hope you find your niche and have success.
Loved the finale, and am happy to have seen Adam with Kiss and Queen (yes I am an old broad). That's good enough for me. |

I think Adam's voice is awesome, but if he puts out an album of stuff like he sang on the show it will not sell. No one wants to buy any glam rock shizz.agree with this, except the awesome voice part. Most of Adams songs were just him screaming. Thats so 70s. Doesnt sell anymore. |

Adam has always been more polarizing than Kris. America doesn't always choose the polarizing people.
There's a reason why southerners usually win this show; it's very mainstream. Kris Allen overcame a hell of a lot to win this title. The judges didn't even want him in the Final Twelve. He stood up to the pressure and produced some terrific work when he absolutely, positively had to have it. He peaked at the right time. I am not sure this is the best result for the franchise, and I voted for Adam yesterday. But Kris is one of the three people I would have considered an acceptable winner. And in a year when the judges tried so hard to control everything so completely, it is poetic justice. |
