So, is this a documentary about the '08 election?
I like how they use the letter "V" and not "O" so it wasn't too obvious. |

Too bad Sawyer didn't learn devotion. BOOYAH!
Looks interesting. I guess this means she is dead. The beginning looked just like Independence Day. |

NO just no.
Oh lord that kinda makes me want to vomit. Independence Day isn't worth the $5 I waste don seeing it in the theatre compared to "V" which pre-dates it by almost 15 years. |

That's what I said too Rodo. I spent the 80s bombed on my ass so I don't recall the original at all.

I'm only 21, so I spent most of the 80s as a potential abortion.

"V" was originally a 4hr mini series from 1983. Aliens come in peace. Turns out they're evil lizards disguised as humans who slowly take control
using Nazi-esque techniques. Humans start to form a resistance movement.
"V: The Final Battle" was a 6hr follow up mini series in 1984. The Resistance in LA gets help from other units and they amp up their game against the Visitors and ifnd a way to drive them off. "V The Series" was a weekly series that aired fall 1984-March 1985. Set 1 year after TFB the Visitors return when the 'red dust' toxin becomes inert in climates without a cold winter cycle. Neutral zones are established but the Resistnace fights on. It ends on a cliffhanger. One of my favourite scenes from TFB. I must have watched it 100x.

The main difference is that in the new V series, the aliens pretend to be all about

Rodo wrote: No less ridiculous than a black smoke monster, or a button that has to be pushed over and over again. The Visitors were on Earth to steal water, make most of us into food, and some of us into canon fodder troops for their wars elsewhere. The unmasking of John was on of the great moments in V. |
