Sure, the acting is atrocious, but who cares when everyone is hot? ^_^ I don't care for Elena (the main girl), but I love her sidekicks. Token black 'psychic' girl is lolz, she's so dramatic! And the poor blond girl is so misunderstood, all she wants is to be noticed I hope she doesn't get eaten by Boone. Vicki is my favourite so far though <3 I was so happy that she survived! The vampires are cool too, though Stefan looks hot one second and really weird the next. I can't make up my mind =o I'm probably the only one who hasn't seen Twilight (it looks horrible), so I can't really compare.

The only people who are in lust with Edward and think he's the best are those who aren't smart enough to read other vampire novels and realise that other vampires like Demitri and Eric and Rhevenge (and hundreds of others) are better.

Ditto Dimitri!!! But I do have a soft spot for Edward and I read plenty of vamp novels (and YA). He is controlling, but in his warped little head he's being selfless, lol. I find that intriguing. But yeah, so far Stefan isn't exactly making me lust for him. That being said, I see more similarities in Elena and Bella. They are both blank slates, no personality except that they take care of their family (brother for Elena, father for Bella).
