Folks who was the real underdog in this scenario? Kris Allen is the well liked good old boy who never makes waves is everyone's favorite and is a clean cut American boy. Kris has been singing and playing music since he was 8 years old and has gone to 8 different countries as a missionary, while performing all over the world and at home in concerts, etc. Kris even said he has the same amount of experience as Adam he just hasn't been in wicked. Or Adam Lambert? The ugly duckling who in school was mocked at, made fun of, called the weird and didn't feel like he fit in. He grows up and takes a risk on life and in his chosen career and as he put it had to hustle to get jobs so he could pay the bills. He transforms himself into the Adam Lambert we see today and during a competition he gets blogged to death. Yes even death threats due to his sexuality or talked about sexuality. He is discussed and debated and ripped to schreads on everything from his hair, his skin, his nails, his clothes, his hand gestures, his singing (which is amazing) and more. People are angry photos of him kissing two different guys are on the internet. The same two guys in multiple pictures but still (OMG THE END IS NEAR) he is kissing other guys. People shove microphones in his face and try to force him to say whether or not he is gay. It is like going up to a reporter and asking her if she douches! That is just rude and I think folks need to stop asking. This kid had folks going after his family saying it was his mom and dad's fault he turned up that way. They went after his friends, his X-bosses trying to get the scoop. The entire time the heat was turned up he was trying to win a contest. Now I ask you did any other contestant have to deal with that much crap while doing their thing on AI? And the entire time Adam Lambert was style and grace and he even stood up for the little guy (Kris when he won and Kara when she was getting bagged and tagged). Adam doesn't let anyone talk trash about his fellow American Idol contestants. He speaks highly of all of them and he protects them when they are put in negative light. I am hoping the other Idols have just as much class and ability to hold their own. We will see what the rest of them are made up of as this tour continues. Who will drop their friend Adam like a hot potato and not stand up for him. That will separate the men from the boys.
