Anyone who doesn't say Los Angeles has either never been there or never been anywhere else.

I don't remember Montreal me being hot, and the streets were dirty. But the mountain and river disqualify it as the worst city in North America. Plus,
it's cheap!

What's so bad about Minot and Watford City? I'm going to both next month.

boring, flat, northing much to do
You're actually going to Watford City? You are aware that it's a city in name only? I think it only has one stoplight and doesn't even have a movie theater. The founders had delusions of grandeur. And yeah, I worked out of there a few times, and Mr CBR was born in Minot and knows it well, so I know whereof I speak. |

Only having one stoplight is hardly an argument against it.

It is pretty funny that Mexico city is "better looking" than half the major cities in Canookia and the U.S.
Montreal is hit and miss, the 1950s, 60s,70s and 80s bad architecture is truly hideous, older Montreal has some serious charm. That said it is a filthy place, as bad if not worse than what Toronto turned into. Which is sad, because I remeber the Toronto up until the early 1990s that was one of the cleanest cities on earth. Halifax is the under-utilized capital of Canada, ugly new buildings, and even the newer condos look like housing projects. With the amount of waterfront, Halifax could become a jewel if someone with vision started redeveloping it. I love NYC, Chicago is always nice to visit as a NYC-lite. San Francisco is my favo place in the US for aesthetics. In general I hate modern glass and steel office coffins. Haven't been to Philly for a while, but it is butt ugly. Buffalo suxs ass gas. |

squash, what about a population of under (quite a bit under) 2000 people, one grocery store, no movie theater, and last time I was there it didn't even
have a walmart, target or kmart?
there literally was nothing to do except hit the three bars in town for entertainment - I felt sorry for the straight oilfield guys as there was only one single woman in the whole town. Though there was a travelling groupd of dancers who went from town to town after they were chased out of the one they were currently in. All the roughnecks were gaga at the thought of seeing a real live black woman strip (this is a very white part of the country) |
